Just got my Z a little over a month ago and I'm in love with it. The one thing I hate about it is that it's such a beautiful car I'm constantly worried about hurting it I guess that comes with being a new owner.
Doors that don't stay open unless you're parked nose down. Water that collects in doors unless parked nose down. Trunk that is hard to open and makes noise. Other then that I really love it. Most fun I've had in a car so far.
i got mine with 10k on it and 10w30 in it. 2k miles later i heard knocking when i started it and the oil was GONE. read on here to switch to 5w20 and never had an issue since. i go 3500 with little loss
I hate that the Z33 (stock) looks outdated parked next to a Z34 .
I have a stock 2004 and some people still think it's a brand new car. I think considering the design is 10 years old, it still looks quite up to date! Just look at a Celica from 10 years ago for example...still looks good, but it looks like it was designed 10 years ago, not the 350Z.
The thing hat winds me up the most is the poor quality finish on the door handles and the bland interior. I know Nissans are not known for their style internally but I'm sure the accountants could allow something with a bit more panache.

I changed oil 3x before I built a new motor no change It was the second Nissan installed replacement motor.
Worse Nissan refused to deal with it thanks to their "warranty" on the replacement which was 12k/12 months and they dragged out the process diagnosing it until it was well out of warranty.
