Lol^^
Honestly dude was just hauling pretty good for a truck. I was surprised for a truck to pick up like that.
But no these cars are slow. I watched my friend race his friend who has a Z in his Miata and he had him until the top end. It's not just mine. Also note I'm in a roadster. I'm pulling a little extra weight to let my hair out.

Who knows what the Tacoma had done with it, I know of a guy who supercharged his tundra and im guessing that was no slouch...
Also if your not exactly in I'm going to race you mode and the guy next to you is its not exactly easy to figure it out and catch up.
Maybe it was a 2jzturbo Tacoma haha

I love my Z and can't stand parting with her. However, sometimes I get jelly seeing new cars with way better technology in their engines and drivetrain that don't even have to try to stay ahead of my Z.

Jeebus.....
Let's face some facts here. An 8 year old (and older) 350Z isn't going to be nearly as fast as many current technology cars in the same class (which is diminishing as we speak).
Even when new, it wasn't the fastest car out there.
But at the price point, it's MORE car than most people can handle anyways.
And speaking of handling, while its no Lotus up in the hills or, I venture to add, not even on a track, it is one of the most respectable stock handling cars that has been on the market in the last 13 years it's been sold in Z33, Z34 form. I've said it before.... my Nismos were (are) a couple of the better handling cars I've owned in STOCK form. And, with personalized and well thought out tweaks - highly available with immense aftermarket support - for one's particular use, it is hard to beat, again, at the cost point.
And for me personally, that's what I own my car for. Nothing more, nothing less so it works for me. (Well, I love how they look too but that's just an aesthetic, versus functional thing... Laff.....)
So sure, there's a bunch of things NOT to like about a 350Z - just like any car, or any product, for that matter - but I know sure as h*ll that there aren't any new cars that I'm willing to part with my Z for.
I might consider ADDING a new car to the fleet at some point - most likely an Infiniti or if another brand, a Lexus RC - but no way is my car ever leaving me until I'm burnt and my ashes spread along the Maui coastline.![Embarrassment](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/redface.gif)
I'm one of them "half-full" people and choose to account for the GOOD things about my Z rather than the bad. (And if something's that bad about it, I'll try to figure out how to make it better.)
Hmmmmph. Now getcho butts off my lawn! That space is reserved for my clapped out, rusting Z car if it ever gets to that point!

I love the Z for the fact that it's the best bang for buck considering I can have fun with the stock engine in it. No swaps equal no headaches.
It's reliable so I can continue to enjoy more time driving then fixing

I love my Z. Its 11 years old, paid off, looks great, 6 speed, and people often ask me about it. I only have a little rattle in the rear that annoys me but that only developed after i did some suspension work so i'm sure it was caused by me. Someday i'll get that sorted out when I get some spare time. Many new sports cars aren't even offered in stick anymore. I think a sports car should be manual.
For now, I enjoy driving it when I can, detailing/washing it, and the looks I get from people when I drive or park it somewhere not in my garage. Yes, she is a garage queen.
