Winter... what are you gonna do?
I'll probably still drive my Z in the winter, but dont want to chance it in the snow. Looking to get a beater.... What are you guys doing?
My Baby Z has been subject to some rain in the past few months, but that's as far as it goes.

I lookingto buy some Blizzak tires and driving it all year round. The stock tires will be downright dangerous in the snow. I don't have the luxury of a true beater. The Z is my weekend beauty and daily driven beater all in one.
I plan on driving my Z through out the winter using stock tires. Don't anticipate too many issues as WE HAVE NO SNOW here in AZ!
I'll think of you guys while I'm out riding my motorcycle this Dec/Jan in my t-shirt and shorts.

I ordered my Z for the commute to work (now about 1 hr) and as a daily driver. I plan on driving it all year (here in CT) but I will be keeping my Durango for snowy days and hauling stuff.
I have done high torque rwd cars in the snow for years (mostly firebirds and camaros) and it is certainly possible with good snow tires. I used to put on 4 studded snows
But it is a NICE luxury to have a 4WD (or even FWD) for snow. And once you have a second car you can use it for dirty/messy/big stuff to. Even if my Z had 4WD I would be anxious to keep it away from snow, salt, and people who can't drive in the snow. It is amazing how much salt CT drops for every snow fall these days. I remember when salt was for ice only.
Only about 3-5 times a year do I worry about it. When that happens I just drive slower then everyone else. It's kind of fun seeing the traction control light come on 100 times on a 5 mile trip!
What I love is all these people who spend 40K on a 4wd and then only get good use out of it 3-5 times a year. What is even more funny is when they are the first ones in the ditch.

Dallas it will be driven we get a little Ice/Snow here, thats why we still have a 89 Maxima in great condition that we carpoool in on bad weather days. The 03 Max and 350 remain in the garage those days!
