call up and ask for managers name and just make a claim, say only that you went in wash and something wacked your fender and damaged it.give them carwash info and call it a day.dont get into the whole story of wahat was spoken with manager. i think youll be ok.i made similar claim for a scratch to my rocker and i got payed even though the manager said he wouldnt pay. good luck

My friends Audi A4 got its tired sliced when the guy at the car was was guiding it into the machine. The manager said he would only pay for 2 tires, but being a 4wd nuh uh, so they ended up paying for all 4.

This is an insurance claim. File a claim with your insurance company. Let them work it out.

Good luck with getting this worked out. The manager at the place where this happened probably made arrangements to have the car wash fixed as soon as you left. He will probably say he has never seen you or your car before.

slash the managers tires and take a crow bar to his windsheild then tell him the car wash didnt do that either.
dont agree with taking your car through a car wash but they should take care of it if the machine malfunctions.
Not worth the trouble to go to court. Just get a nice set of aftermarket CF fenders and forget about it.
comes to washing your car, definately do it yourself.
We get a guy to wash our cars every weekend and i won't even let him rinse the Z off much less wash it.

Never use a car wash if you want to keep your car undamaged. I used to work at a car wash while in high school and know from experience that after cleaning hundreds of cars they become just an object. It doesn't matter if it's automated or not, the systems are not fool proof.

I remember one day a guy came in with a brand new Landrover with a roof rack. One of the guys forgot to release the blower that normally rides up over the top of the car on a plastic roller. He needed to release it so he could manually hold it up to pass over the roof rack. Since he forgot, the plastic wheel caught the rack and literally tore the roof off the vehicle. The owner was furious as he had drove the vehicle right from the dealer to the car wash!

Also if you use one of the car washes with hand held pressure wands and foam brushes...never, ever use the foam brush. It is usually full of grit from being left on the ground by some moron. Common sense people.

Default judgement in my favor

The court awarded me the amount for the estimate ($1039) and the fees to file the case ($100.25). So, I get $1139.25. They have 30 days to appeal though. Shame I didn't get the money I asked for to cover a rental car. I should not have to be responsible for that. Oh well.
