No way. I think the winning bidder will pull back. There is just no way anybody will pay so much.....I am shocked!

Good, I'm glad to hear that! Selling spots in line is pretty slimy IMO...

Default Ebay pre-order auction

This is the most I have seen for someone to be paying over MSRP. At this moment it is 12k over MSRP.

Da Gimp-

If you are aware that the auction is for charity, then why does the 30k of MSRP surprise you? The people that bid on these items may only partially be interested in the vehicle. What did Jay Leno's motorcycle signed by the movie stars go for? $100K+?

Zinjin-

There are two different auctions mentioned. The first is an individual for 12k over MSRP. The second one (the one for 30k over MSRP) is the Nissan auction of VIN 000001 for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

Let me tell you, I have followed all these pre-ordr auctions including TWO of my own. No one has yet found a bidder that pays! Just zero or negative feedback users waisting my time and money!

PS. My Z position is still available!

Interesting. They must be bidding just for the thrill of it, or else they just read Nissan's warning about possible issues of transferring the order.

When did I ever say that it surprised me? I was just saying that people are paying well over 12K over MSRP and gave an example. Yes I am aware it is for charity...yes I am aware it is vin #1....both facts are irrelevent. It is a stock Z for sale.
