Default new to this site, just got my 08

I just picked up my 08 about 2 weeks ago, 1st time with a nissan, always was a american muscle guy.....give you guys alittle back round, I build bike motors and manufacture all sorts of goodies for busas, and suzukis, alot of cylinder head and engine development....

I scooped up the car for the wife as a b/day present, its a rag top, I like it, I have to say im glad i went with the nissan......I am curious on doing some mods to it, nothing crazy to the motor, i want to know what an exhuast and reflash will be worth in the real world, and who can I get the ecu done by...I do alot of the bike ecus myself, but ive been out of the car seen for several years...i would like to get maybe 50 more ponies out of the car, I think they are around 300-305 stock, so im thinking 50 is realistic with some small bolt on mods..........any input would be great, and dont start bashin me with the search option, already been there, thats why im askin

^What he said. As for shops, I'm not sure what's in NY but there's plenty in the MD/DC/VA area if you are willing to drive.

50 HP with bolt ons you might be spending a pretty penny to achieve in the 350z unfortunatly, but im sure it can be done...mods for the 350z arent very cheap, but who knows if your ballin or not lol welcome though, you chose a good year

Edit: im saying as for RWHP...is that what your shooting for?

I figured in the same lines of the mods......but I thought 50hp wouldnt be tough.....
it seems im used to the american cars, its pretty easy to bolt on 50 ponies.....
Is there any shops that I can just send the ecu to and have it flashed for the mods??
I think there is a shop not too far that does alot of import mods, has a good rep, maybe i should check with them first see what they can offer....

make sure you research your mods and possibly dyno after every mod if you can, the Zs engine tends to respond differently between each car to mods ....some people see gains on certain mods, when others with the same one see a loss in power, ya know things like intake and what not, alot of people have proven to actually lose power when getting an aftermarket intake, the only gains, were a really cool sound...lol..but the stock airbox on the Z is awesome and alot of research went into it (high revs at least and im sure the DE too) might wanna just throw a drop in KN filter on that one instead, if you were planning on modding that part of the car

im sure your a smart guy and know alot bout cars, just giving you a slight heads up on the Z
