i would have killed my dealership if they put the front plate bracket on my car and drilled those damn holes.. i made sure they didn't..

i've had a couple instances where cops would hassle me for not having a front license plate, so i still have mine on.. if you guys wanna check it out, here's the link:

http://www.strictlyz.com/customer/pr...7b374368ced713

i've had it on my car for a couple months now.. looks good IMO and if i ever wanna just take it off, it's easy as cake.. definitely sth i would recommend you guys to look into..

Nylon plugs plus touch paint = TEH WIN

Looks great, costs almost nothing, and is a true DIY mod

Yeah, you have to measure the diameter of the holes before going to buy the plugs b/c I've seen different sized holes on different Zs. I believe that mine were 3/8" also though.

Got mine at OSH (Orchard Hardware Supply), but you should be able to get them at any hardware store (I personally don't think automotive shops are a good bet for these).

Couldn't find an exact match from a search, but it looks something like below except the ones I got were round at the end as opposed to angled as seen in the pic. They pop-in seemlessly.

There were two color types at the hardware store: one was a whiteish clear and the other was black. I got black since I have an SB, but of course I still painted and clear coated them. Word of advice: leave ample time between coats... I rushed mine and probably shouldn't have.

Some one should come up with a plate that has two clamps on the back, then if you need to display the front plate just use the stock grill as a holder.. I think that would solve the whole problem as far as looks are concerned.

What did he fill them with? I was told by a body shop that anything used to plug the holes (bondo, et al) may be susceptible to cracking due to bumper flex of the plastic.
