Default Buying a Condo - Parking my Z! Need suggestions

Hello, so i am about to buy a condo and have a bit of a dilema. I REALLY want a garage or underground parking for my 08 Z, but that limits the type of place i can buy and the price. For example i found a great condo in a great location but it just has a parking lot accross the street which is $50 a month (downtown denver) There is another one which is 20k more expensive, not as nice but does include a private garage.

So i guess the main question is how important do you think a garage or covered parking is for my baby?? I use my Z as a DD and i live in Colorado so it does snow a lot etc... When winter time comes i just throw on my snow tires and it goes great! Just wanted your opinions

^Your not alone. I am looking for condos right now as well, and parking is a major concern. There is nothing worse than detailing your car only to have to leave it out overnight and get rained on Plus in garages you can usually circle untill you get an end spot

If it's a DD then a garage is not a big deal. Now if u care what the car will look like a few years down the road and plan on wheels, kit, etc.. then get the place with a garage..

To me a garage would be an important consideration, pretty much a necessity even. I am in my 2nd house and both times, a two car garage (married/with children, lol) was a requirement; in fact on the current house I really wanted a 2.5 or 3 car so I can park both vehicles and have room left for the usual lawn crap and stuff (not a factor with a condo). I settled for a 2 car in the current house as it had just about everything else I wanted. I would be really nervous parking across the street - heck, I'm nervous about parking in the driveway overnight. I would make a garage a priority, but not a deal killer.

Private parking was a key factor for me when buying my condo. I have a covered parking area in the rear of the unit. I would definalty have the car covered.

I'm a grad student and I consider a covered and locked garage number one on my list of apartments. If I don't I would have to rent in a room in a nice area.

I'd be less concerned (but still nervous) if your Z is totally stock, but invest in a quality alarm and wheel locks on all the lugs (e.g. Gorilla nuts system). If you have flash wheels, a/v, or other apparent mods then I'd say find a garage cause you'll be a target no matter where in Denver. Good luck!

Yeah the exterior is stock, but i replaced the HU with a nice kenwood dvd player etc.. Im thinking a garage actually still might be mandatory. Its not just my gar getting damaged, its cleaning snow and ice off every damn morning in the winter

My wife wanted to buy a new house about 6 years ago. I explained a priority of mine was a 3 car garage. We bought a new house and moved in 5 years ago with a 3 car garage. Now I wish I had a 4 car garage. Don't settle for a place with no private garage.

Ever see pix of my Z...?

This is what a back yard tent has done...

Keeps my Z so fresh and so clean clean!! haha

SO a nice garage should be much better.

Default Save your money!

Forget the Condo, rent only the garage and sleep in your Z.
It will be pretty cozy, specially with leather interior.

if you're going to buy a place, make sure it has everything you want and need... I would want a garage especially since it snows there...

Buying is the key word here, your place of residence must have what you want. You want to feel satisfied about such a big purchase. Consider shopping around some more before you make your final decision. I would need at least a car port (socal), but since you have snow a garage is a must.
