My First 350z
I purchased a 2006 Touring 350z after a looooong debate on the type of car I wanted. I looked at BMW's, Rx-8's, Wrx-Sti's, etc. I read and watched every 350z review I could find and researched problems certain years had.
One review that particularly bothered me was Jeremy Clarkson's review of the car. He basically dogged the hell out of it, and had me hesitant to make my purchase. In the end, however, after talking to a few 350z owners I decided to buy it.
I absolutely fucking adore this car. Whatever mood Clarkson was in when he drove the car must have been a **** poor one, because I find it much more entertaining and pleasant to drive than all of my previous BMW coupes.
Anyhow I believe I may be hooked on Nissan for a long time to come.
Take it easy!

I'll be checking the oil regularly. Here's to hoping the engine doesn't have that problem!
I bought it used at 40k miles. We'll see.

Apparently, by his own admission, Clarkson was VERY hungover when he did that road test and not in the best of moods. Top Gear Magazine then went on to award the 350Z Car of the Year and another time Clarkson drove a Zed for the Top Gear show (it was a convertible) had admitted it was damn good fun.

Jeremy Clarkston always has been and always will be a douchebag. His anti-fat American tirades are so old and boring that he's become a total cliche of himself. Fifth Gear does a much more reliable and trustworthy automotive review.
Any show like Clarkston's Top Gear, where they get 250-year old Michael Gambon to drive as fast as he can around a track in a sports car and then gauges the car's abilities based on that lap, doesn't deserve any serious consideration as a reliable source of information.
Congrats on the purchase.
