Can you chirp 3rd?
When I first broke in my Z one of my first hard pulls I chirped 3rd gear! I was very impressed. But, ever since then I cant! Is it because my clutch is more broken in now?
Can you guys chirp 3rd? If so, does it take more mods? Or is my car just one of the weaker ones.

I think it also has alot to do with your shift methods. IMO there is not enough power to do it "right" but I could easily take it up, to redline in 2nd, just hold the gas to the floor, and drop the clutch in third and theyd break traction no problem. but thats not using power, thats just using the momentum of the engine.
if you can chirp 3rd gear, Id reexamine your shifting tecniques. just my 2 cents.

Guys,
If you're popping third... its your shift technique. I'm driven plenty of track sessions where I'm running countless 2 - 3 shifts. NEVER do they bark. Technically you don't want it to bark... Barking DOES slow you down, if even in the most minute sense.
Thus again, if you are "barking" the 2-3... your technique with the clutch and gas is slightly off... you will prematurely wear out your clutch.

Ive had my Z Touring 6 speed for a little over a week now...got it with 4K miles...anyway, this Ford F-150 was trying to race me the other day while rolling in first so i just kill it in every gear and when i shifted into 3rd the back end slid to the side a bit. Ive driven a stick for 14 years...i know how to use a clutch and i didnt do anything excessive.....just a fast, firm shift into 3rd and i slid a bit. VDC was ON.

I chirped going into third only a few times. I was shifting pretty quickly and the road surface was fairly slick. On a hot day and shifting less aggressively, it won't chirp
