so after 6 years my 2003 350z was totalled by a friend of mine a few days ago. my insurance company is asking me for receipts for all the aftermarket parts i installed on it.
to make matters worse, all my receipts were damaged in a flood in my basement 2 years ago. what are my options at this point? can i just fax them pictures with a sappy letter or am i s.o.l.?
this is the car that once was...may it rest in piece(s).

just contact the vendor you dealt with prior, explain your situation, i'm assuming an arrangement could be made to issue new reciepts. Good luck and like everyone else said, do not disclose the NOS.

funny thing is i bought everything for it so long ago i dont even remember where i got everything from. not even my wheels. my modding phase ended about 3 years ago. i'd say about another 15k was dumped into the car of which 3500 where the rims and tires.
will post a pic later on tonight. damage wasnt too bad really, no frame damage. but the car went under a truck (rear ended) and just crumpled everything in on the front driver side. the bumper frame wasnt touched at all because of the uber lift on the truck that she hit.
this friend was a girl yes. how else do sports cars get recked? lol.
the car was falling apart anyway. needed new tires, tensioners pullies, windows didnt work, lambo hinges were getting worn out. it was getting to be too much of a hassle to have that car and i dont have tinker time like i used to. i dont really care too much for it anymore, but i dont want to get bent over on how much they're going to give me for it. what a headache this is going to be.

hopefully everyone was ok, you don't seem too upset about the car so that's a good thing.
Good luck with the insurance!
sorry for the loss....would you mind saying which insurance company you use? as far as i know, my company probably wouldn't have a lot of interest in covering the loss of any aftermarket mods...
