I went to Maple Grove Raceway in Pa. yesterday because I entered my car in the "East Coast Nationals Finals" car show. Well after I got my car all set up and clean I went and sat in the stands to watch all the action. There was a CS Z with huge NISMO decals on both sides of the car. I know he had race pipes on it, drag radials and nitrous running. He ran a 12.25 I think. Well on his second run his car caught on fire half way down the track. I heard from someone that he had blown an oil line. I never did get to see the extent of the damage because the judges were at my car and I had to leave the stands. There was a lot of commotion going on I heard with the fire truck and all. I went back to look for the Z but I couldn't find it. Was this anyone that post on here? If so exactly what happend? I felt so bad but at least my man got to tear up a low 12.

I believe that was Smithtown Nissan's car, but they claim to have ran an 11.3?!?! Check out the Racing section, there is a link to the picture of the car with NISMO decals on the sides.

BTW, congrats on your second triumph!! Did you get any runs in?

 

Thanks 02trex! No I didn't get any runs in. I was hoping they did a fun run but they didn't. Plus I promised myself that I wouldn't run unless I had drags on. They had all the finals going on yesterday which was pretty awesome. Remember that supra that Vinny Ten ran and broke a world record at MIR? He broke his own record again yesterday twice! He did it on the last race of the day with a 7.36 I think @ 179 mph. That dude is sick! As for the smithtown nissan, it is very possible that I may have missed a couple of his runs since I didn't see all all of them. The first time I saw him run may have been his 2nd. The lanes were right behind me so I knew when the Z was up for a run. That did suck though. Hopefully it's not ruined.

Since when is turning your 350z into an 11.38 drag car "ricing out?" Maybe you didn't like that huge stock spoiler or you don't know what rice means?

 

1. thats not a "drag car"
2. that Z wont do the 1/4 mile in 11.38
3. I do not like huge spoilers
4. It looks riced out to me (mainly the decals, especially the big *** Nismo)
5. You dont want to know my definition of rice, because I bet "CF emblem inserts from Reen" are rice
