What would it take for you to buy a 370Z?
I have noticed a number of 350Z owners are not jumping onto the 370Z band wagon. What changes are needed for you to sell your 350Z & buy a 370Z?
The 370Z is superior performance wise but is it enough to make you want to trade your Z in?

For me, I have several issues:
1. I want over 400hp. Adding a few ponies is nice but not enough to have car payments.
2. Drop the fangs.
3. Drop the raceboy door handles that have been on the 350Z & 370Z.
4. Smooth over the fenders. Like many new cars, the flat surface on the fenders distracts from its looks.

I don't think I will ever be in the market for a 370Z. Eventhough it is an improvement over my 350Z, it's not enough for me to buy one. I would rather buy used in that price range.
The car is plagued by its environment. It's release is likely a year or two too late
given the current state of affairs. Appearance wise, the designers missed a number
of critical marks. These combined failures will keep me from purchasing for at least 2-3
years.

1. Financial. I am driving an 07 S4 that is paid in full. Not sending a car payment away each month is wonderful.
2. Practicality. While I loved my Z, there were times when a backseat would have come in handy. I can see my self looking into something like a Jeep SRT8 or an Evo X if I decide on a second vehicle.
With all that being said, I saw my first 370Z (Sport) on Lake Shore Drive with some black wheels this weekend and thought it looked hot.

I'd say lower the prices. I don't see how any company could be releasing a new car in this economy. I know this sounds weird but, if they put the 370z in the same price range as the new camaro's, which have a base msrp at 23k and ss model at 31k, they'd be a big hit no doubt. If Nissan offered base at 23k, and the nismo at 31k, there is no reason people wouldn't be buying them.
but until the economy picks back up, I don't see the 370z being that large of a hit.

Just not worth the price difference between what I have now and what it is.
Since I buy cars every 4-5 years and not 2, I'll probably be looking for something completely different when I do decide to buy again, e.g. factory turbo, german, awd, more comfortable.
