some one help me out here?? First off I dont think this is an 07 or 08, unless the hood has been changed. I thought all 07-08's came with the bulged hood. I looked over the forum and hope i didnt miss the statement of him buying a pre 07. I could have swore it was an 07 with HR he said. Also what the h*ll is that thing sticking up on the rear left??? Is this what all of you are talking about as a radio tower? dannnn mmmmm thats huge. Mine came stock with one that is covered in rubber/plastic and maybe 12in only. Ive never minded it, but always wondered what everyone was talking about "REPLACE YOU ANTENNA" Please school, hate, flame me but Im thinking this is not an 07. ???

oh k, i just looked at the tach, no HR there. HR's rev up to 7500 not 7000. So did you get a diff vehicle? Do you have dual intakes under the hood? That is deff not looking like an HR.
My guess is Revup 2006.
I love the color though. Glad you got your car and you can join the rest of us out there cruising around. Enjoy her, just make sure you got what you paid/negotiate for.

I'd guess the same: 2006 Base Rev-up.

Not a bad place to start since many mods are being contemplated. Just be careful of oil consumption...assuming my guess is correct (rev-up).

yeah sorry i typo'ed before, sorry for the confusion its a 2006 model
one throttle body under the hood. I confuse myself in typing becuase my original financial path was made for a 2007 VQ35HR platform, even thought i want and got a 2006. The parts i have planned in my technical path for the 2006 Z are obviously at a cheaper price than the 2007 VQ35HR 350Z therefore giving me some cash leeway with shipping and stuff, and if i need anything installed for me becuase of my handycap.

As for the giant antenna, its not going to stay on there long..... neither is a lot of the stuff you see there, the interior will be changed a little as well. Which i gotta say, holy Sh*T are seats expensive as well as the harness bar that goes behind the dang seats.
but, i was in one accident before so i wanna be safe.

thanks everyone for being so welcoming and helping me make sure i got what i paid for: as i go on i will probably need your help with stuff I can't find in research

as a side note check these out, this is from my accident back in march i may post others on this too: this bike def got having trouble with the upload

I use the simple add photos at bottom of thread post. allows 5 photos. Im interested in seeing the bike... get those photos up here. nice job with the 06, plenty of mods available for you. HR's dont have nearly as much and do cost a bit more.

Well take care, hope you heal up nicely.

Welcome, and use the search ALOT when thinking of mods. I can't tell you how many times I've thought about putting this and that on the Z only to find a thread here basically justifying how stupid that move would've been.

Good luck on the Z.

As requested, here are some additional pics of my accident. Im sure you guys know this but i didn't take these, the fuzz did, and they didn't give my helmet back. I got my tool kit, jacket they cut off me but it saved my skin, my gloves, and my plate. oh yeah, and my clothes they cut off me too.

CHIP ECU from stillens site http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?i...SAN&model=350Z have to do a little more research on this guy

Man you can get yourself a 370Z...however 32K is a lot. I would by an 07-08 so you got the HR. You can pick one up from about $20-22K. Then you got about 10K on upgrades...that A LOT of upgrades. Hell even F/I. But look into rims, exhaust, body kit, spoiler, etc. Whatever your heard desires. Then you will be truely happy. Enjoy your Z!

thanks for the direction and input. F/I is somethign i want to do, down the road what ever upgrade money i have left i am going to buy a short block V6 and build it up from there. I know on a stock engine you can only run 3-8 psi safely before doing some real damage to the point of motor replacement. I read a thread on here about doing it this way while doing some research and i thought it was a great idea. Finding a good short block maufacture is another story, didnt' do research on them but will eventually get to that.

if i go this route, i see it as at least i have a LONG term project to do and a laudry list of items, making the fedex or UPS person my best friend .

oh yeah, if anyone knows any short block/long block engine maufact. names off the top of their head let me know. nahhh ya know what? i hate when ppl do that so i'll research it myself lol, if ya wanna ok if not then i got it covered lol
