2007 350z terrible accident
Hello fellow members
I would just like to contest to the safety of our beloved 350z. I was in a high speed accident with my 2007 z. I rolled my vehicle 4 times coming to a rest on the passenger side of the vehicle. My friend and I were admitted into the ICU. I had a crushed/collapsed lung along with rib contusions. MY friend received a shattered angle, broken leg and fractured sternum. Overall we are alive and well when in reality we very well should be dead. The safety performance of the 350z saved ous life's and I am for ever grateful. From what I'm told the car rolled front over rear several times, needless to say none of the airbags deployed. I'm not sure if that is true because I was not knockout at the time but I will up date once I see the vehicle again along with pictures.

Lucky that he rolled 4 times instead of once, if there is anything remotely lucky about being in that kind of accident.
Go find the Silver State Classic vid of the Jun (?) Z back several years ago, he had a full roll cage, but rolled it at 320 km/h on the Nevada Hwy when he flatted a front tire, brilliant attempt at recovery. Walked away - literally. A lot of that was having a huge distance for run-out of just flat desert when he left the road and started rolling.
Best wishes to a speedy and complete recovery.

edit - my bad, I missed "front over rear" - no way the airbags would not deploy, that's seriously wrong.

im glad ur okay. stuff like this makes me wonder, if i should get a custom intercooler since the greddy tt FMIC requires you to remove the from crash beam.\
anywho, get well soon and post pics asap.

Im not going to lie. I was not racing but I did like to drive my Z very moderately. I was on a old country back road, hitting rpms and simply opening the throttle up like I have done on several several occasions. I was coming down a straight away approaching 80 mph when I went across a slight incline in the road followed by a slight decline in the road. Maybe 5 degrees up then 5 degree down. If you can imagine the initial incline made the car weight less for a split second shifting the weight and center of gravity. Then I hit the decline and it sent me into a sideways spin, similar to a drift. I went off the road sideways at 75+mph and hit a bank causing the car to flip violently. I was knocked out instantly but my buddy stayed through it all. The car came to a rest on the passenger side door. Needless to say farmers approached the wreck with in minutes and the emergency squad was there with in 6 minutes. Everyone says im lucky to be alive and I believe it from the photos I saw. I cant believe that happened, it still has not sank in. I will get picture as soon as I can. Let me say this though, I thought I was king behind the wheel of my Z. I thought I could handle it in any condition and I spent many hours on road courses doing controlled drifts and whatnot but dont let that give you a big head. The car needs respect and is very powerful. Im glad the safety engineering saved my life but I will not buy another one until I feel I am more welling to respect such a car and my own life. Thanks 350z.com for listening.
