LOL this is a classic. Most of you are asking for photos of the Z, he asks for bones. HA-HA To funny.

Glad to hear the Z kept you safe now drag yourself to the dealership and get another.

You guys and gals are right. I do miss my Z so so much, every time I see one on the road I think to myself "I used to be apart of that club". I am not a ***** by any means but tears literally gather in my eyes when I think how lucky I am to still be here and to think I involved someone else makes me want to smack myself. I will feel a little scared to get into another one but that happens when any serious traumatizing event takes place. I don't know opinions on the 370z but it def. grown on me and that will be my next purchase if it ever does happen. It will be 3 yrs or until I'm back in the Air Force.

Glad you are OK. Scary accident. 80mph is not that fast - quite common speed on many local highways - so I'd say this was due to unique circumstances...

Anyway - good luck - glad all are OK. Get another when you are ready for it!

Can't say that I feel sorry for you. Sounds like you crashed a perfectly good car because you don't know how to drive. Either that or you didn't know the road. Why not save it for the track?

Anyways, hope you get better and never drive like an imbecile again.

Wow talk about adding insult to injury. Not trying to start anything but does this mean youve never had an accident? Because like a few guys on here are saying, **** happens. How was driving 80 on a back road driving like an imbecile? Are you telling me you have also never pushed it a little hard on a deserted road just cause you can?

Anyways...

Hope you and your buddy make a full recovery, good luck and post pics when you can!

Wow, can't wait to hear how old YOU are...

Doing 80 on a back road IS in fact driving like an imbicile. That's what tracks are for. What if one of those "farmers" had been out in the field and his car flipped right into him. Suddenly it's not **** happens, is it??

As pointed out by the OP, any indifference in the roadway at that speed is extremely dangerous, that's why they make tracks, people maintain them, they're safer, as well as controlled roadways.

OP, I'm glad you're ok, but I also hope you learned your lesson, and it sounds as though you have.

The most important thing is that you and your freind are OK. Get back behind the wheel of your next Z and enjoy, It is the ultimate sports car in my opinoin.

Flaming this guy for having an accident at that speed is retarded. If he was doing 160 fine, but the speedlimit on the road could have easily been 70. Oh no he was doing 10 over.

Be real and get off your high horse people. There is a reason they are called accidents.

Peace
Not that it matters- He was obviously going too fast. At what point does it make him an imbecile (in your opinion)? 20 over the speed limit? 30 over?

I'm guess since it is a 'backroad' not a highway that the speed limit was 50 or 55 tops. but, if he lost it at 80, I might even put the limit at 40 or 45. Who knows.. maybe he was going faster than 80.. at that speed who is actually staring at their speedo?

OP - What roadcourses in WI allow you to drift?

I am 23 years old and I bought my Z when I left the Military. Yes you are right, I was driving like a moron and was not paying much respect to my environment so you can say my situational awareness was over ran by adrenaline and the beautiful sound of the VQHR hitting RPM. The road conditions I ran into sent my car out of control, not saying I did not know how to drive but you are right. It was not a track and I only had a single on coming traffic lane to correct my mistake before grass, a bank, and farm land. Needless to say it all happened quick and I messed up bad. Some will sit on their high horse and talk down to me and that is perfectly fine because thats what I need. I am speaking to voice my opinion out to the people that do what I did and loose the respect they need for the roads and their car and their LIFES. It is not certain when something like this can happen but what is certain is the 350z is a powerful car and it deserves respect. That is from one driver to another...just save the fun and games for the track...please. I will get pics when Im allowed to by the police department.

I don't do 80 on country back roads, no. And so we're clear, he LOST CONTROL OF HIS CAR, admittedly his own fault, so ya, it was stupid.

Doing 80 on the freeway with the flow of traffic is much different than doing it on a back road. A back road that the OP obviously wasn't too familiar with. They make tracks for **** like this.

OP - I wasn't trying to talk down to you, I even said in my post that it sounded like you learned your lesson. You're different from most people who come here in that you aren't trying to defend your actions, and instead are trying to make others aware of the dangers involved in speeding down unfamiliar back roads. I applaud your intentions and honesty.
