My new Z...
Update:
Here's a quick shot of how the tails came out finally. Who needs reverse lights,
? I've tested the lights and they work perfectly. I also cleaned up and painted the tail light surrounds. The camera angle is a little weird and they aren't quite perfect but they are close enough to drive it so I'll make small corrections later. Overall, I really like how they came out I just want to get them lined up perfectly. Just need to get the starter going and this beast will be ready for the road.

And here is the weight on the scale:
After driving it around for a couple of hours it feels stronger and the brakes are starting to stop well. I think it sat for about 5 months since it was really driven last before tonight so it needed this. A buddy of mine in his goat and I got a few pulls in and his car is definitely a little faster but the Z pulled pretty hard. Here's a quick pick of the car on the scales with me and a full tank of gas. (Subtract 200 for me). 2560 full of gas and as is,
.

Oh, thanks to the help of a buddy of mine we got the new starter running perfectly so that I can drive it!

Couple updates:
Got bored and fabbed up an intake to bring in cold air instead of the one that came on it sucking up all the hot air right at the engine. Here's a before pic:

Some after pics:

Also, a small touch but it bothered me so I changed it. Before:
The tank supports were orange before

Going with my theme of red, black and silver:

One last thing, added some foglights because these old school lights don't really give much illumination.

Yeah, I like the stock tail lights best but the covers alone are $125. I actually kind of dig the LED's because they work and they look pretty good when it's dark out. It's tough to say because the stock look was pretty sweet almost 40 years ago. Since the wife has put me on a budget though I have to do what I can to make the thing street legal so I can drive it...
