Brickyard Track Is In!!!
My brickyard track model just showed up at the dealership! Unfortunately, I don't know if I'll be able to pick it up before Labor Day. If my wife and I can take half-days off of work at the last minute then I'm trekking out to get it.
Otherwise, I'll be stuck at a wedding all weekend without the Z.

Got it!! My boss let me take off a half day. Just got up after a long day yesterday.
It drives great. Love it. No real big complaints.
Here's my minor negatives:
1.) Bolsters impose on shoulder room making me have to hunch ever so slightly.
2.) Can't comfortably rest elbow on window sill, which I used to do in my old car but I'll get used to it.
Otherwise here's the positives. I love the torque. If you're not racing then it really doesn't matter what gear your in (within reason). You can pretty much always easily accelerate.
The brickyard color is perfect. Just what I was hoping for. It's hard to take good pictures of it. It's best to see it in person. I'm sure it will show swirl marks and get dirty easily but I think it will be worth the extra effort.
The splash guards turned out nice. You really can't tell they're there on brickyard except at certain angles. If they serve their functional purpose effectively then I'll be happy.
The suspension and handling are really good in my opinion. I haven't driven hard yet since I'm breaking in the engine/car. However, the few turns that I took fast were just inhaled by the Z. I could tell I wasn't anywhere near the limits of the car. It really does feel like it's on rails.
I'll try to post a picture in another post.

Unfortunately, it's not at the dealer any more but it was over an hour from Buford. It was in Rome, GA at Heritage Nissan. My Z was the first they received.

Excellent photo of the color brickyard in the showroom (first one). I believe you are the first to capture the depth and true red hues of the color. Congratulations and thank you. The mystery color is now solved.

Those splash guards look pretty nice. Almost give a 'body kit' type look to the car. I just loved that color. I have a PPW touring on the way (I've seen the PPW at the dealership) but I'm starting to wish that I'd chosen a darker color.
I really liked the way the aero pkg looked on the car.. Sweet ride. Mine will be here in less than two weeks.

While I haven't seen the two colors side by side, it looks similar to the color on the new 50th anniversary Corvettes.
