Question STI Brembos same as 350Z Brembos?

Can anyone tell me, based on FACT, not conjecture, that the stock STI Brembos are the exact same caliper and rotor as the 350Z (and thus, the G35 as well)? Thanks.

Yes they are the exact same units. They are also found on the Skyline and I've heard one kind of BMW. They are one of Brembos OEM brake units they sell to manufacturers. I guess it's probably cheaper to just buy brake units as apposed to developing and manufacturing your own in house. You'll probably see these units finding their way onto more cars in the future, they're likely getting cheaper.

I have to disagree. I had my car parked next to an STI a few weeks ago, and the STI's calipers were much bigger. It may just have been an optical illusion, and I didn't really do a side by side compare, I just noticed they look a lot bigger.

Smaller wheel sizes have the effect to make brakes look larger than the same size brakes applied to a larger wheel size. Doesn't the STI sport 17" wheels?

My performance 350Z's brakes look smaller than my mom's 2003 SE edition maxima's.

I know for a fact that the rotor diameter and width is different between sti and z . The z is slightly bigger in both dimentions. I did have complete dimentions in mm but i cant find them. The sti has 12.7 f and 12.3 r , the evo has 12.7 f and 11.9 r , the z 12.8 f and 12.7 r . The z and evo have vented discs all around the sti has solid discs in the rear.

But will STI Brembos and EVO Brembos fit on the Z?

I'm still trying to find a junk yard that I can snag a set off of a Z....maybe this will give people more options?

Well guys, I was autocrossing today, and I compared somebodies track Z with an STI there, and I can definitively say they're different. The STI calipers look larger. And it's true about the pot area part, they're more pronounced on the STI. And yeah, I wonder now if the STI/Evo calipers will fit on a Z...
