How did you get a 2004 350Z brochure from Nissan? I have been trying to get one, but none of the dealers in my area have any!

Please ... I want to read some of that useless stuff!
I got it by filling in a form on www.nissanusa.com

The black dude in the picture is Kobe Bryant. Because of the sex scandal, Nissan had it replaced by Tom Cruise.

I just got my 2004 350Z brochure in the mail from Nissan. When they mention the stereo they call it a "re-tuned" Bose stereo.

I guess they got a LOT of complaints. To a new buyer the phrase "re-tuned" begs the question "re-tuned compared to what".
i believe the 're-tuned' refers to the bose addition the stereo.
many people people do not know this, but bose does NOT make car stereos. never has. despite the name on the outside, the radio is made by some other company (ours is clarion??).
what bose does do is build custom amps for each car, with audio circuits designed especially for that car's speaker layout and internal configuration. they have a lab that tests the acustic properties of each car, and creates the appropriately tuned components. this is the 're-tuned' stereo.

To use the words "Tuned" "Bose" "Premium" in the same sentence brings much hysterics these days from Z owners.

You hate to harp on the issue, but that Bose system belongs in a Yugo.
