Not much different than what paint weighs, powder coating is just tiny 'plastic/urethane' beads melted onto the surface. I'd worry about the structural integrity of the aluminum due to the heat process, takes a good pc to do it correctly and not make it brittle.

Washed it really well.

And then started pPlaying with Plasti Dip again. Did the "hamburgers" on the front & back. May do door handles next since my car has been in winter mode with black wheels

Glaze on the Plastidip in lighter coats from slightly further away, will take away that orange peel look.

^ that. if you do it in like 6 light light coats it will look really smooth. and when you remove the edges pull against the emblem using its own edges to cut it.

Wonderful advice. Thanks! Perhaps I'll peel off the orange peel (pun intended) and start over.

stuck the "Mishimoto" decals on it. 50% off parts is worth these things...

Explain this 50% off. There's not too much mishimoto parts I want, the radiator is probably the only thing worth buying. Their electric fans are garbage, I called them out on it and the rep stopped replying lol

associated sponsorship for AutoX'ing, more of a process than I thought. I put their decals on my car. get 50% off parts.

I got the 350Z oil cooler kit with thermostatic plate, Air diversion plate, magnetic drain plug so far.

Changed plugs and new valve cover. Feels like I gained back a huge amount of HP!

Hey all - Tried to be different and painted around the middle handle instead of doing the whole thing like everyone else. Your thoughts? Thanks in advance

BTW, great advice from mr. sparco and cmcurran5 since the door handle looks so much smoother doing it that way!

I removed the front license plate, sadly it was drilled into the bumper when I bought it

Points for originality, but I'd go ahead and paint the whole thing.

Its definetely not the best look. If you did like a custom black and color match would be sick.

Look into BumperPlugs.com - Their paint matching is pretty good, although you can do a DIY for cheaper I went with them since my paint (PPW) is quite hard to match.
