Up until 2am putting on a Godspeed exhaust. I absolutely love the sound. The reason i bought it over the greddy evo ii was because I did prefer the sound over that and even the genuine HKS from what I've heard on some youtube videos. However, I wasn't sure if it would sound like that in real life so it was a gamble .. but on first start up.. WOW. It is truly deep and growly.
And I know the topic of HKS replicas have been covered but based on my research.. despite what people think about how they are "all the same" or "all come from the same Chinese plant", it's not true. I first noticed this when I was watching youtube clips and noticed some of them sound completely different. The ones without a brand, such as an ebay one sound very very tinny and raspy. I figured maybe it's the camera quality but that doesn't explain the rasp, you can't fake that hideous popping sound.
From what I've seen, Godspeed is actually a legit brand. I was on the fence about buying it but when I called Ace Muffler (got great reviews here and on S2ki) the guy already knew about the godspeed and said he installed a few and surprisingly their fitment is always great and they sound great. I asked if they were raspy or fart can-like and he said no way. So that sealed the deal, seems like when you're a company that spends a little time and money on branding, the quality control and product consistency is higher.
Funny that even among the replicas, the Godspeed is around $350+ while the cheap ones on ebay go as low as $240.
Almost bought this one from DNAmotoring/Speed daddy because they offered local pick up but I am glad I didn't.
Compare that to an actual Godspeed branded exhaust:
