No matter how much you finesse vinyl there's no way that it will fill in every space in the super fine knobby section of the center console/waterfall.. correct? I've always seen people sand it down and vinyl over smooth surface or hydro-dip the pieces.. Maybe I just havn't seen enough wrapped Z interiors.
