Thanks for the suggestion for spring rates, stock for the 2-way is 12f/7r but I will definitely consider change, the Stance rep should be reaching out to me to discuss my valving/rates.

Lol
Are you sure about the 7kr? I'm positive all the pro comps are 6k r. Either way, I was told you can go +-2k from what the shocks are valved to.

Yup. Either way I'm looking forward to getting rid of the monster truck stock suspension and being able to truly adjust everything at the track.

Well, Stance site says 7k r. Maybe you're right. I think mines only 6k. I might order some stiffer springs that way I can run a softer dampening but still have a stiffer feel. Your gonna like it. Make sure you get some good Camber and toe setup.

Yeah the single-adjustable Stance coils come in 6kr, they may have updated the 2/3-way recently I honestly don't know.

Already have SPL Titanium rear camber arms, SPL Titanium rear toe links, and SPL eccentric bolt kit Stoked.

what about front camber arms. Your front camber will be out of spec.

Also

You're only going to be as good as the tires you run. Coils will be no improvement without them. I would argue that tires are actually a better handling upgrade than coils. If I may make a suggestion, Yokohama Advan AD08R tires are amazing at lower power levels and still have good tread life. I've had multiple spinnage now at 500whp and they still look new. When I was sub 300whp I couldn't even pull a fish tail they were so sticky.

I've been told my camber will be out of spec in the front which I will pick up some arms to correct asap, my front will only be dropping around 1"-1.5 (running 18x10.5 +15 RPF1 with 275/35 rubber)

The rear is going down more to match, right now it's ridiculously high; I got great deals on my hunt for quality SPL parts from vendors and forum members.

As for tires, right now I'm running some economical HTRIII's (275/35 f 275/40 r) and as soon as they run low I was going to swap to RS3's (275/35 f 285/35 r), I looked at the AD08R's but they're pretty restrictive on sizes available (according to Tire Rack they only have 265/30, 265/40, 285/30, 295/30 for 18's). Do you have any experience with RS3's?

RS3s are very comparable to AD08s.

The one's I'm refering to are the AD08 Rs which are even newer and have more carbon for more grip. They also have more sizes than the regular AD08s that you will like. I think the RS3s are almost the exact same in the grip department of the Yoko's but I would give the edge to the Yoko's for the AD08 Rs. For a street tire they are the very best.

RS3, you'll probably love those too though. It's your call, but remember, your handling won't be magnified until you get tires!!!!!!!

Edit: nvm, I see you're running 18s. Well, they have 255/35? I'd run a 265/35 f 285/30 or 295/30 r

Completely understandable. Thanks

& I think I'll go with RS3's because of my 18x10.5 square setup, if I had 9-9.5 upfront I'd be willing to go with 255/35 or 265/35 but not with 10.5. I appreciate the suggestion though

This is the most recent pic parked in shady LA. I'm keeping stock aero (honestly I love it) so she'll always be unassuming to most.

LMAO.

Yeah JDM clear corners, stubby antennae, vinyl-wrapped roof, and paint-matched rear wiper delete are subtle mods I've done over the last couple months to hold me over while saving for quality coils. And I do quick details every other day since I drive her daily.

I can. Not. Wait.

pyshin,

I forgot to tell you that when you lower a car you are also changing the caster of the car. This can have (to me) worse effects than camber. Caster is the angle of the force of the ground going into the car. See picture:

Whenever you lower a car it will give it more positive caster. To me, too much. What it will feel like on aggressive turns is basically you are doing a wheelie. It will make it feel weird. So basically I'm saying getting camber arms is a must if you are lowering it. Unless you want to feel akward during hard turns.

Which leads me to what I've done to the Z,
I spent all of last evening corner balancing the coilovers and sway bars. The I adjusted the caster for more negative (twice) to try to get it closer to spec. Finally all done, put it back together. Wait? I'm a 1/4 inch higher now. Damm1t , gotta do it all over again tonight.
I hate corner balancing.
