I just acquired a complete set of SPL arms for the rears and a brand new in box SPL Front Upper Control Arms in box (not pictured) over the weekend. I also resumed my build project if anyone like to follow that. It's under new owner section.

Nice, I thought you were going back to stock, good to see it back in full swing.

I partially did, but with patience comes a long way after securing a job that pays really well, I am excited to get back on track. I am however almost done with the build I think.

I am still making adjustments to get the ride height correct. I am still rubbing a tad in the right rear. luckily I am not bottoming out. I am also placing a order for the brackets that hold the front bumper on in the corners.

It's the Internet, we don't take offenses around here. In addition, I took the SPL FUCA out of the box and well they are quite sturdy in design. Frankly to put, the SPL FUCA is such an investment that it will outlive the car itself. Once the car breaks down, I'll repurpose these SPL FUCA onto a Rolls Royce or a Bentley just because I know it's not going to break on a heavier car. Truly a testament.

I prefer the V3 version for the larger mass and they have about 800 miles from the previous owner but provided new spare parts from SPL with the kit.

Gotcha, V4 even if "smaller" are stout and an upgrade in terms of alignment setting.

I do prefer the V3, I am curious about the weight differences.

Today, the GT-R door hinges came in today. I thought it was going to be a quick install but seems like I have to tear down the door card again. Maybe I should look into speaker upgrades since the Z has 193K miles. It has the Bose OEM amplifier.

Nice! Take some shots of the doors with the R35 door checks. I was thinking about doing this, but learned your door max open limit angle is reduced. Might be this won’t matter for most owners, I’m not sure. I rarely open the door to the max limit.

Easiest way to install is remove the door cards and pull speaker. Sounds like you already know this. Speaker upgrade ftw!
Cheers!

Lol, for me it's a "feature" and I like the door closing itself after I get in. So I understand.

It’s great… but I have to climb out quick since I have bucket seats. Thank you Icer, and yes it does seem like that. I have no knowledge about audio upgrades. I know it can be sensitive and all varies on your amps, hence I have the OEM Bose amps. I’ll take it to a shop.

Now… I was out of state when I received a text from my little sister who rear ended into my driver side door.

So… now I’m in the market for new doors. I was looking into carbon/kevlar doors, but then I don’t like the idea of the comprised safety standards along with the high price tags. Unless I’m informed wrong. So if anyone is selling a “good” condition G41 driver door, I’ll take them. Meanwhile, I’ll search for part outs locally in great shape.

Today I drove my car to the upholstery shop to get a quote on seat repair. Looks like wear and tear no one wanted to fix. SO, i am taking matter into my own hands and getting it fixed. should run me $450 on a seat recover and new padding. dude has a turn around time of 1 day. Can't wait to see the finished product.
