Posted this one Facespace saying I got a new RX7.
Of course everyone has to say you cant tell and that it's not a RX7.
Then I say I thought RX7 was short for "car on stands" and my buddy chimes in with a picture of his RX7 on stands and said I could have fooled him.
Better view of one of the steers.
Taking them to get new front tires put on and have the TPMS sensors swapped from the silver wheels to the black wheels so it will work again.
Also installing my Hotchkis sways and powergrid endlinks.
Got attacked by the stock sway bar and an impact. Blood = ratings.
Broke off one exhaust stud at the back of the mid pipe and rounded off a nut on the rear factory endlink. The front was easy but the back made me want to burnt the car.
No more vibration in the steering wheel that I've had for a couple years and it is straight instead of slightly to the right. I guess it was worth it.

What caused the vibration? Endlinks?
I have spl links and eibach sways.

My only guess is the Falken tires. I've had the vibration for a long time and noticed the steering wheel was off to the right just a little. Like about the 12:30 position. Switched them out since they were showing cords to Nittos to match the rear and it straightened up the wheel and no more vibes.
The new sway bars and links could help mask it too, who knows? It handles better, rides better and I'm no longer showing cords so I'm happy.

Spent the weekend doing a fairly old school mod....painted my stock brake calipers. I know it's a love it or hate it thing but I've been happy with my stock brakes for 9 years and I just wanted to give it a little pizazz. Really happy with how it came out.
Paint is G2 and decals are from GTADECAL.Com

Woulda like to post this yesterday but my350z haz been ghey lately logging people out before every post
gave her a bath yesterday and raised the front right coilover up a little. had to tweak the swaybar endlink as well. Now will probably do the other side just one turn tomorrow.

It's just cosmetic, but this weekend I went over all my glass with a buffer and Maguires water spot remover. Had years of buildup on the glass, so I went over the glass for quite a long time, followed it with Invisible glass cleaner. Glass looks brand new now.
SPM350Z- not a bad way to dress them up a bit.

I can deal with all of it, but the one issue I have with them is the caster can only be changed by removing the arm from the car. And who can seriously continually install and remove an arm just to get the caster right. Your'e talking $$$$$ and time at an alignment shop. Then once you got the caster dialed in the camber/toe is fawked. So you set them up right and the caster is fawked again! lol Never ending circle.

^^^ Yeah.. I got the V1's brand new never installed for $325 shipped, best option when I was shopping the used market. Going to do the upgrade program through SPL soon and get the 40% discount
Yeah I could see how that would be annoying, but is there really a widely available arm that doesn't have to do that for caster?

I paid like 3 times as much for a bad design. Camber is also a bad design because it uses "blocks" of metal as different settings for caster. You cant just adjust in small amounts or whatever amount you choose.
Overall I'm thinking of looking into another arm.
edit: they call it the "shim stack system"

no clue. I don't think there are good arms for our car because spl is the only caster adjuster I know of. The shim stack system is good for camber never changing, but I dont like how you cant modify it slightly. Basically you put in or take out a shim and that's all you can do.
I havent looked into one yet, so I will have to research and find out other quality designs.
