Sold my Miata last week, time for a new budget project. In z news, I installed Philips DRL 9s and had to fab custom brackets and covers. Freakin love em. Brighter than stock HIDs but might have to connect the dimmer function for night use.
Backed the car out of the garage, finally!
Here it is April 11th and look at the snow. Won't be diving on the roads till the first of May!
Welcome to eastern Canada.
Inspired by the headlight restorations a few pages back I started work in earnest on my 2005 Z. Wet-sanded with 1500, 2000, 2500, and 3000, then polished with a porter cable. Megs microfiber cutting and finishing pads worked well using Menzerna FG400 and Sonax Perfect Finish respectively. I would recommend taking off the front bumper and/or removing the headlights altogether if you want to be able to polish the front corners and edges with a random orbital polisher.
Just installed invidia gemini cat back, and quite frankly I'm a little disappointed. The sound was too quiet for my liking (needs to be broken in, but I don't think it'll get much louder). That being said, it is a very nice sound. Also regret getting the titanium rolled tips, it looks nothing like the pictures. Instead of a shiny metallic blue coloured tip I was hoping for, it looks like a 10 yo coloured it with a baby blue crayon. Most likely will have to get TP/HFC to amplify the volume, or consider reselling it.
