Spent 6+ hours detailing her. Got rid of her numbers My new DA did an amazing job, paint looks near-showroom condition even after 9 years.

^^^ He has a Griot's Garage 6" DA, I remember being jealous that he got a crazy good deal on it.

Idk what polish he's using but I'd recommend Klasse AIO Polish and High Gloss Sealant Glaze.

Yep Griot's DA and for now just used Griot's one step paint sealant. It has a mild abrasive and works really well at sealing the paint.

I feel a lot of pressure shoot out of the exhaust and it back fires. Something flashes on the speedo but I didn't catch it. Worst case scenarios start rushing through my head. Well, there goes $20 grand. What now? What am I gonna do? I've got it in neutral and it seems to be running ok. Hmmm, I slowly put it in 6th and just cruise for a bit looking at all my monitoring systems available to me. Everything seems to be ok. Then I look down and see I didn't turn off Traction Control. Face palm. Crisis averted!!

Congrats! Please push for T Z in future

Do me a favor, when you start working and you all decide to "re-engeneer" the valve covers, please dont make em so when a 3 dollar gasket breaks, you need to replace the whole damn cover kthx!

PS if you find said person who designed ^ please end them

awesome. details?

btw, jelly

because this was my dream job. (automotive design engineer). More of a conceptual design engineer. If I could redo anything in my life, it'd be my schooling. Business field blows.

Hahaha! Yeah, I've had a bitchfit or two about those valve covers. The position is for a door design engineer in Farmington Hills, Michigan. I'm pretty excited!

Thank you guys for the good words! I appreciate it!!

Rotella oil has been known to go for millions of miles in diesel applications, they modified its formula for passenger cars and turns out the shear resistance was incredible. The oil can take quite a beating and still be perfectly lubricating everything.

It has a ZDDP of 1200 PPM I believe. More than any other oil I've read about... Which is crazy good for lubrication.
HMM I too have heard good stuff about T6. Walmart sells it too oddly enough.... better than full synth 10w-30 Amsoil? ($50)

Better? Probably not. But at $20 for 4qt it will protect your engine every bit as well and not have a problem. If you were looking for an oil that lasts a long time, Mobil 1 ester is probably king but I change my oil every 3k miles anyway so what's the point of buying a full synthetic that lasts 15k miles if I would never push an oil change that far? Depends on what you're looking for in an oil. Oil filters are more important imo

LOL yeah better
I swap out my amsoil every 7-8k anyway and for now the guy I buy it from gives me a bit of a discount. The bottle says they guaranty the oil to last 25k, yeah I am not willing to put even half of that to the test... I pick up K&N filters and honestly I cannot complain, I cut open the last one for the hell of it and to me it looked like it was doing its job well. For what I can acquire locally it sure does beat the paper filters..

Try purolator next time! They're the best hands down. Bosch is now made by them as well, fun fact.

Also: Wal-Mart carries t6 and purolator so it makes purchasing oil change stuff easy.

I used to use purolator gold in my old car and I stopped when I saw what looks like fragments in my oil, cut the can and the paper filter was disintegrating.....

Though I will switch to T6 from Castrol F/s on my girls car.

I have a advance auto literally 50 feet from my apartment
and the dude that sells the amsoil lives in my complex
