I got Top Speed resonated test pipes mated to my Gemini. Sounds great.

I've never had to tune my Z. I've also never had a CEL come on. I have the 03 with the smartest ECU.

Engine and exhaust mods:

Crawford upper plenum
JWT intake
TS test pipes
Invidia Gemini exhaust

So I picked up another Z this week. I have an 04 roadster that is about to hit 100K that ill be selling shortly, but I wanted a Z I could build for the track and I found this one for the perfect price. Its a 2008 Base Model that is salvage title and is in need of a lot of TLC. Thing is I only paid 4,000 for it. Car has 108K on it and it came with Prodrive rims, the concave series. I am going to be taking the rims off getting them redone and painted then sold. Fitment on the car is horrible and I dont need expensive rims for drifting! I'll be starting a build thread soon.

Default Paint correction

I finally got around to giving my new Z some attention this weekend.
Started to correct the paint with a polish, sealant, polymer wax and a Carnuba top coat. Still needs alot of work and some new bumpers (insane rock chips :-/) but she is shining now atleast!

I spent the day with my Z.
Cleaning and cleaning some more.
Then a wash and wax.
Five minutes after it was back in the garage,
the skies opened up.

Default Bike Rack Made Easy

People have over complicated this in many posts and some of the racks cost way too much. I have been hurting my brain trying figuring out which is the best most cost effective way to transport my bike.
Hollywood bike rack- run the side hooks through the trunk instead, clip them to the inside. The rest is a piece of cake. It takes 7 speed bumps to leave my complex. This rack passed with flying colors.

Well I finally got the new motor in and was able to fire her up to go for a test lap around the neighborhood.

Right now the Y-pipe isn't hooked up to the test pipes yet. The bastard is seized on pretty well. I tried drilling out the old bolts but to no avail, I may cave in and take it to the welder's shop down the street.

Unfortunately I had to leave town to work and won't have time to get back to it until next week.

Changed oil too. But also snapped up this photo. Parked to go to the shop and all cars were black when I came back.

Had my car plastidipped. I know vinyl wrap is the best way to go, but at the moment its just not in my budget to do so especially because i still havent gotten the rims I want to yet.

But just sharing how it came out, its only the first day but i love how it came out. I paid 500 from an authorized dyc installer.

Track 2/GT "10-footer "wheels - spent far less than on gen-u-whine Nismos with same spec. (With 50% Yokomama Advans)

They look very nice....

From 10 feet away!

Couple of 'em are/were pretty rashed up so....

Post-filler, sanded & primed for inspection, final glaze on remaining scuffs.

Just prior to clearing.

First coat clear.

3rd coat clear.

Finished color/clear, ready for polishing/wet sand blending.

Rims are not a perfect match to the face but it'll do. Fortunately, the other wheel requiring attention is on the same side of the car so only the really astute will notice the fix. (Or someone walks to the other side and notes how pristine the ones on that side are. Heh heh.)

Cheers,

Mic

PS They go on the car tomorrow and the "new" Volk/Bridge S-04 setup may go up for sale. These...

Hey good job man. Especially for a "quick" fix.

For $500... that's dope. Not really a fan of that colour, but for fun, wtf not eh

Then when you get bored, just rip it off. Smart
