Replaced the balljoints. Not too terrible of a job as long as you have the right tools. Thankfully, I picked up a cordless Milwaukee impact a few weeks ago for super cheap and it helped out so much.

Got stuck on the driver's side trying to get it out of the knuckle. It seized up about halfway, so I pressed it back in and then manage to press it out like it was nothing.

Working on her again come Friday night... going to remove all of the oil lines and re-tape them/seal them, then change the oil over to Amsoil as well as fix my oil temp sensor.

I ordered the JWT HD clutch and lightweight flywheel setup for my 35th Anniversary. Pretty excited to get it in the car and feel what kind of difference it makes. Got a good deal from importantpartspro.com. Came with an SS clutch line and a nismo roller bearing free plus free shipping. I'm pleased with the purchase

Default Kenwood Head Unit/Alpine Power Pack Amp

Installed a Kenwood head unit which worked out great. Tried to install an Alpine Power Pack amplifier and it kept going into protect mode. Thank you Car Toys. They diagnosed and reinstalled my Kenwood head unit to be amplified with my Alpine Power Pack. Now I can just listen to the radio like ear candy.

Cool. So the Alpine PP amp works OK with your Kenwood? That's good to know. Was looking at that same combination for one of my cars.

Is the Alpine mounted behind the radio or did you have to re-lo the unit? Like the thought of running a small unit like that (a casual install in this car) behind the HU so I don't have to run additional cabling to where I'd mount a traditional amp under passenger seat.

Tx.

If you know how to route the wires there is a small compartment that can fish through the right side of the water fall to go behind the blower/ventilator. I merely zip tied the Alpine power pack with a pair of ties behind the knee bar. : D

Long read/rant time:
This actually happened last weekend, but I parked the Z (likely for winter) at the new house. A few weeks ago my clutch pedal started sticking almost all the way released and upon refilling the empty reservoir and a mini bleed, I moved it in the garage to get under and have a look. Appears to be complete failure of the CSC. I've priced out the HD replacement CSC and/or the CMAK delete kit with the Wilwood master and I got a shop in town to do it for $400 so I'm at around $1200 without the tow to the shop. Unfortunately I'm going to Florida for 3 weeks for work and I don't want to just leave the car at the shop and I don't want to pay to have it worked on just to have it sit for 3 weeks or more.

One thing a forum member had warned me about was the clutch and flywheel being junked because the fluid sitting on/around it when the CSC failed. Any input there?

Sorry for the long rant whine session.....

Had the opportunity to display at Import Expo in DC yesterday. It was an awesome experience, I never thought I would be entering my street car into these types of shows - saw all types of Z's but mine was definitely the most simple/functional lol. Sorry for the crappy phone pics.

Displayed next to this awesome 370z.
Track vs. Street haha.
