Changed the rear brake pads today. It was the first time I've ever done it on any car...always was a little fearful to mess with brakes but after watching several videos and researching on this website realized it was pretty simple...messy...but simple. I gained so much confidence from it i'm doing both front and rear brake pads on our Rogue next weekend. :thumb up:

Cool dat, Shawn! Warms my heart that people will take the time to learn some of the basic car stuff and actually apply it. Get in, git 'er done!

Couldn't agree more. I didn't know much about cars when I started tracking my Z. With all the help this site contributes and youtube, I've been able to do more than I ever thought I'd even attempt. Hell, you probably aren't gonna make it any worse.
It really is great to see guys diving in there and getting it done. Just yesterday, I had to do the drivers window motor cleaning deal. I've done, sways, brakes, brake lines, UCA's and numerous other little things that I learned on this site on my way to building a wheel to wheel racing 350Z (no matter how many years it takes me).
Nice! I'm super jealous you're doing this with a lift. I did my first clutch/flywheel install in my one-car garage on jackstands using a write-up I found on this site.
The write-up was great. The ground clearance with jackstands was

Yeah, thank goodness for military hobby shops! It'll prob cost me 30 bucks to use it when I'm all done. Pilot bearing was fused. I had to customize a screw extror to get it out
Installed my rear Akebono's to match the front, found an empty stretch of road, performed the break in procedure, confused some Amish folk and then took some pictures to commemorate the event.
Three is an understatement. Final result isn't perfect in the least, but I'll live with it. I'd actually paint it this color - definitely has me thinking
Failed tremendously at wrapping my front bumper... I don't think I cleaned it well enough in certain areas so lesson learned. Rear bumper was rough as well but I finished it... satisfied but not completely happy about how I cut the vinyl around the turn signal lights. A lot harder than I thought it would be! I'll probably redo it when my new roll of vinyl comes in.
Finished putting the clutch and flywheel in. Got her all back together and driving now. Put some miles and ready for summit after getting back from training. Fixed some issues that were bothering me so all is good for now. Ill be redoing it all next year as I dropped the GD clutch plate square on its edge from 6 ft in the air. Epic

I just washed the car then spent 3 hours sanding the hood... Now debating if I should clear coat it, paint it, or wax it.
Pretty sure I got a sun burn, and it looks worse than when I started, did 150 then 220 wet.. Finally got the water spots out... Maybe ill hit it with 400 and paint it... Decisions decisions....
