No way for us to know if you skipped a tooth is your front timing cover off?
Because you didnt need to remove all that to replace just the water pump..
Anywho... Just cleaned up some parts.
Now im going to go take the car cover off the car and hope it starts and take it for its short by weakly ride.

Hey man! Thanks for the quick reply, no no no the cover is not off haha. I watched a video and the guy said if the chain shifts sideways or something, that means I wouldve "popped" the cams, but I wanted to get some input from you guys

I have no idea but that chain is pretty happy in its spot. If you just loosened the chain from the passenger side access hole and then removed the water pump from the driver's side access hole I don't think the chain would have much chance of moving off anything...

I have no idea but that chain is pretty happy in its spot. If you just loosened the chain from the passenger side access hole and then removed the water pump from the driver's side access hole I don't think the chain would have much chance of moving off anything...

Ok seriously does anyone have any tricks to take off their coils?
I have to take them off for the 3rd time cause I hear something else not right.
But the upper a arm bolts are literally impossible to remove with out putting serious work and scratching my coils since the springs have no gaps to let the bolt pass.
I'm seriously over this suspension. I've never had this much trouble installing and tuning ancoil system before.

Drive to Vegas , hand it to me and............ it will be good in a few hours

I thought about attempting my lowers but was really worried about effing it up. I let my mechanic do it. Lol. The camber kit was easy enough but it's my daily and didn't want to end up taking a tow truck ride.

My poor impact was not happy. I think a beefy vice and a BFH might be the only thing that gets this off.

It captures both themes so well I had to copy the link and share. Its a rare day when they are uncovered at the same time.
But now they are all wrapped up... Hopefully the empty shell is gone by the end of the month. Just have the brake lines the gas lines and the 1 good door and the rest is scrap metal.

Heck no!
I just hate this beilstein design. Who ever made these did not install them. The bolts for the upper control arm literally can no be removed or installed with these coils in.
And so far that's the only way I've seen coils be installed for these cars. I'm about to just remove the steering tack and sway and just drop everything at this point. Still seems easier than forcing these arm bolts in.

Ugh, I watched a 68' Camaro rot into the
ground down the road from me. The guy wouldnt let it go. He was "going to fix it up amd drive it". I literally watched it dissappear over 10 years.
I will never be that guy.

Here in California that's every other house. Some guys even have like 5 or 6 at a time. And all they do is sit under tarps or overs. As you drive by and watch their flat tires rot and crack further and further...
Sucks. Im lucky tho my 2 closest neighbors are finally car guys who fix and repair their cars. I have a mint resto 62 bel air and a mint Chevy C100 to the other side.
Everyone on the block calls me the "tuner guy" cause my car is "JDM"..

Go to 0:46.. That bolt comes out on OEM springs no problem. But with my new coils, being stiffer and having more and tighter coils. That bolt doesn't fit through the coil spacing. And needs about 1/2" of the bolt to passs the coil to be removed.
As you can see the coils are much tighter on the B14's.. where the OEM was a cake walk due to the spring spread.
And of course the bolt has to pass through the very top and last coil section where it starts to close off.
That ONE bolt literally is 90% of the time spend on this install/removal. I think I've spend 4 total hours on that one bolt on each side. Through out my 6 hours total of install/uninstalling my suspension. Because either the coil is in the way... Or the arm isn't at the right angle to let the bolt pass through.
The rest of the time is mostly trying to find where I put down the last tool/socket I need
