That has cost a website some of my business. I don't enjoy the worry of the wrong part showing up and the return shipment and long wait thereafter.

Just be prepared if it does give you a hard time. I put a big breaker bar on it and a big impact air gun on it and it didn't even budge.....this simple 2hr job turned into a all day'er.

Does anyone know where I can get a new nut for the subframe bushing stud or what kind of or grade of nut it is? I tried looking on Courtesy Nissans part finder and the nut is not listed.

Your going to need a new diff cover.

Then just bring the stud to a hardware store and get a grade 10.9 that is the right size.

Thank you, I'll pick up a 10.9 flared nut. Probably a good time to upgrade to a finned diff cover now lol.

Mike, I'm pretty sure Centric Posi-Quiets come with caliper hardware (shims and retainers but not the retaining pins)...

Brake Pads Posi-Quiet Metallic w/ Shims and Hardware Brembo Brakes Front PN 104.09600

Brake Pads Posi-Quiet Metallic w/ Shims and Hardware Brembo Brakes Rear PN 104.09610

Order the ones that specify hardware included even though most of them have it, according to Centric parts listing.

New head unit just arrived, waiting on facia and wiring stuff.
And I just broke up with my girl so technically I doubled my mod budget for 2017. And that means I gotta pick her up from hibernation asap since I kept her at my now ex's dad's shop over the winter so... I guess I'm gonna get to drive her soon! The Z that is.

The good with the bad, bad with the good. Pic for attention.

I lifted my car at 4 PM yesterday to take care of the clicking rear axles. After lifting the car, and taking off the wheels and axle nuts, the wife called me to go upstairs to make Korean BBQ (it was the first sunny weekend we've had in a month.) I started to close the garage door and suddenly realized that the car's big, fat butt was awfully close to the big metal rod on the bottom of my garage door that was slowly descending on it like something out of a James Bond movie. I hit the emergency stop on the garage door about two inches south of scratch Armageddon. I had to put the wheels back together, drop the car off the jack stands and roll it forward three inches so it'd clear the garage door. Then I called it a day, disgusted at my own lack of garage door foresight and made Korean BBQ. Then I played Fallout 4 until midnight. I'm going to try it again tonight.

Hey if you got the axle nuts off I would consider that a successful Sunday. I failed multiple times at axle nut removal before I finally got it...

And rook dropping the diff just takes some time and patience... Start spraying that bolt now if your worried... The driveshaft bolts are more tricky, if you have some offset wrenches it will make life a little easier.

Yeah, I have shop air and an Aircat 1150 impact wrench that puts out 1,295 ft-lbs of torque. It made quick work of that nut. LOL.

I actually did squirt the bolts before I put the car back together with some ATF/acetone homebrew, so good call there. I have a full garage with two of just about every tool you'd ever not need. Half of it is out of laziness (I don't like to work hard to get projects done) and half of it is because I'm a compulsive tool purchaser - I do NOT like to have to make a special trip to the store to buy a tool I need, so I've been buying tools bit by bit for almost 30 years. Now I have three completely stuffed stacked roller boxes, four huge shelf units full of specialty tool kits, a ridiculously over-packed diagnostic cart, shop air (two compressors,) a parts bin and a boombox from 1987 to keep me entertained.

Your photos make me feel good that I'm not working in the mud under a tarp.
