What does a 34 foot Ford coupé look like?

EDIT: And no, did NOT catch the word "foot" in the OP that inspired this thread tangent. Hahahahahahaha!

Saw this just last night. I think this *might* be a '35 but very close.

The '34 Ford Deuce is like a stretched, flattened, curved version of the iconic '32 Deuce known from American Graffiti fame (for those unfamiliar):

I should point out that this isn't a "deuce coupe", it's known as a "'32 Ford 5-window" for obvious reasons but is very similar to a "true Deuce".

And the '36 is even curvier....

Approaching the epic look of the '40 Ford Business Coupe or '41 ******....both of which were "Moonshiner favorites".

Its about 34 foot but deff not a coupe.

Today I changed the rest of the 02 sensors, berks cats on, put exhaust back on.

Tried installing all my new silicone hoses, did about half... They really ended up being a major pain in the *** because the silicone hose is thicker then the oem hoses so I couldn't get the clamps on over the little end nipples...

The large hoses all worked out fine but all the little half inchers sucked really bad... Even broke one of the oem pressure clamps...

Filled up the radiator let the car run for about half an hour...

Passenger side header leaks so ill need to tighten up the nuts I guess... Hopefully that solves the issue...

Car continues to be a pain in the ***, but at least its mosty back together and kinda runs.

What have you done for your Z today?-20170414_213200.jpg
I was going to sell my stock rotors to a guy who drove down from Denver in order to buy my 35th Anniversary Wheels.
So to try and be a nice guy and save him a second trip and kill two birds with one stone I decided to go ahead and start my break Project without having received my rotors in the mail. Of course that bit me in the a** because the stainless steel brake lines fluid and pads showed up but the rotors have been lost in the tracking system somewhere between Salt Lake City Utah and Denver Colorado. So I decided to clean up my Brembo really well and leave my car on stands. I got lucky because it turns out the gentleman decided he didn't want my rotors so I just put them back on for the time being.
Then I bled the brakes down with my motive power bleeder designed for the Z.
Took a drive after the first bleed down and they were still a little mushy.
Bled them a second time and got quite a bit of air out of the final caliper on the rear passenger side. Felt like I had them entirely bled but I have a strange noise / grinding feel at the top when I push the brake pedal.
The stopping power is fine and they don't feel mushy but the rest of the way through the breaking process.
So now I don't know if I'm going to let it ride this way until I get my rotors and bleed them a third time or maybe on my next day off go ahead and take the wheels back off and leave the system again prior to getting my rotors.
Lol. Damn you United States Postal Service!!!!!

But yea I just installed a charge pipe for the turbo next to the steering joint. Boosted did an amazing job squeezing it in there. Not room for much down there.

Idk what it is but I keep touching things that are slicing the crap out of my hands. Like paper cut slices. I have like 8 slashes total on my hands. I know 2 are from the paper gaskets but idk where the rest are from.

Hurt like a MF when I try to clean the dirt and grease out of them.

and the hard coolant line on the passenger side...

The oem manifold bolts are all pretty much accessible with various combinations of deep sockets, short sockets, swivals, extransions... Wasn't that bad...

Getting the new ones on was a long and horrible process... One of the nuts I had to tighten with my gearwrench 14mm literally 1 click at a time, and had to hold the bottom to achieve that click.

I did use a torque wrench on probably 8 of the 12 nuts the rest got tightened as tight as I possibly could get them... I surely hope they dont leak...

I have about half a fingers clearance around the steering joint... Hopefully the sloppy engine mounts dont have much play. (Think it will be fine)

Steering seems to have lined back up with my marks, wish I had gotten a new joint but it cleaned up well.

All and all it pretty much really sucked really really bad... Glad its done
LOL fancy hands.

Thanks for the through follow up. So this translates to a tedious weekend project? Id like to get headers on my daily driven Z eventually.

What is the (kevlar?) part in the "fancy hand" shot?

I think thats "kevlar" is my couch fabric... My forarms got it worse than my knuckles... Also dropped a few wrenches on my face while trying to tighten things...

I would reserve a weekend and just be prepared to remove that steering joint, and that coolant hard line on the passenger side... Im sure your Florida car is much nicer to work with then my Massachusetts car.

I tighten up the passenger side again today and put most the rest of the car back together... Took it for a 15 mile ride and so far hasnt spontaneously combusted or over heated for that matter...

Their is no noticeable sound difference.. Haven't gone over 4000rpms though... And no noticeable difference at this point... Hopefully my check engine light remains off so I can pass inspection.

Next up... Gotta clean and put away a whole bunch of tools... And should deff take up drinking

And for anyone wondering how to configure on the stand without using a threaded rod...

Luckily I had these awesome $24 worth of bolts laying around that I was going to use for lockout bolts for my rear suspension... Same threads as the engine and a little longer than the engine bolts so worked very well.

Took the car for a nice little test run... Highway and back roads... It might have a slightly increase in volume... Actually does sound pretty good IMHO... Guess ill stop talking **** about my borla exhaust being a disappointment.

Also seems to have a smoother acceleration of that makes sense...
