front lower control arm bushings

Replaced with GKtech sphericals. Rides great. Put 1000k miles on them and a hillclimb the next day. No issues.

Default Compression Rod Arms, Front and Rear Subframe braces, Oil & Filter Change

I finally got the clunk in the front end cured by installing new compression rod arms yesterday. I also installed Ultra Racing front and rear underbody braces to replace the badly rusting OEM ones (this is after 142k miles, and the previous owner having driven the Z through MI winters until I got the car). And I also performed an oil & filter change and adjusted the tension on the accessory drive belts.

Do the braces feel any better than OEM? I've always wondered.

Given how flimsy my OE ones were, I can't provide a good A-to-B review.

Also, I'm so elated at not having to hear clunking in my front suspension with every little road imperfection and application and release of the brakes (from having the new ball joints on the compression rod arms), that it may influence my perceptions, too

As far as their construction, I do like the build quality of the UR braces. They installed smoothly, too, though I did use larger washers under all the bolts as the UR braces had wider slots to allow for easier fitment.

Cool, I've had their products on my other cars and they seemed good. For the Z I just ended up getting all new OEM pieces.

@khnitz Where did you purchase the braces? Their website only shows one of the underbody braces. Looks good!

I ordered them back in June of 2020 when I had an email with a "15% off" coupon from eBay. The vendor was "ultra_racing_in_stock". It took several weeks to arrive, but was wrapped/packaged well and I am pleased with them.

In the 6 months I've owned my 2007 HR, I've spent a small fortune. 😎 It needs a paint job, so I got creative and came up with this temporary fix. $100 and 13 hours later, this is the finished product.

Aaaaaand your opinion is noted. Most folks say it looks like confetti. Their opinions are noted as well. My plan worked. Thank you. 😎

Nah, and I actually didn't even know it was a thing until you mentioned it. Looks like fun though.
