My insurance dropped $40 (a month) when I traded my 08' NISMO for my 2006 BMW E46 M3.
And yes, insurance is all relative of the driving record, your assets, and of course the city that you live in.

some of you guys are paying way-too much for insurance, i pay around $75 per month for full coverage on both of my rides. i actually pay more for my cobra than the 350z. perhaps being insured by a military bank also plays a big part for additional discounts.

What companies do you guys have who are paying such little? I shopped around for days calling one after another, and ended up with some company I never heard of called "California Casualty". Its for full coverage, with a $500 deductible, and I'm paying double, triple, quadruple what some of you are paying. I'm 22 years old, clean record, no points, and live in NJ. I even have the Z listed as a weekend car that gets low miles put on it (which really is the case). Geico was the highest, Prudential, Allstate, Progressive, Esurance, Nationwide, General, 21st, Safe Auto, etc. Those are just to name a few, all were unimaginably high. Only price I didn't get was from State Farm....they wouldn't even insure it.

There's your problem. New Jersey is one of the highest states to insure in.

i did i called every single insurance agency. that was the best quote i got! they told me it was that high cause it was a sports car and my age and because it's just me in the policy no parents or anything, and i added the feature that covers all my mods if i get in an accident.

i believe i pay about 1200 a year on parents insurance but my 21 year old sister is listed as a driver and she had a major accident on her record. mine is pretty clean and i am 25. maybe a speeding ticket or two but took court supervision on both. maybe since i turned 25 my insurance will go down when i have to renew it but who knows. the problem is that my deductible is 1000bucks!!! it sucks but looking at that list i might be wanting a corvette sooner than later

I'm 25 and i would pay 1400 for the year but I also store it 6 months out of the year so between having regular insurance and storage insurance it only costs me 800 a year.. That's with basically a clean record havnt had a speeding ticket since I was 16 that I ended up getting in the middle of nowhere

Im 23 i had an 08 frontier and my insurance was $133 a month, traded it in on an 06 z and it went down to $120? that was after i added 1500 customization, and road side assistance. no clue why it went down but im not complaining! its with nationwide btw.
