My insurance dropped $40 (a month) when I traded my 08' NISMO for my 2006 BMW E46 M3.

And yes, insurance is all relative of the driving record, your assets, and of course the city that you live in.

I'm 23. I pay 160/month with 500 deductible for full coverage. My driving record is good but that's the cheapest I could find (and I've looked, a lot).

Well, Im not surprised at all since all the z's value went down the toilet and more kids can afford the car, which means more wrecks.

some of you guys are paying way-too much for insurance, i pay around $75 per month for full coverage on both of my rides. i actually pay more for my cobra than the 350z. perhaps being insured by a military bank also plays a big part for additional discounts.

What companies do you guys have who are paying such little? I shopped around for days calling one after another, and ended up with some company I never heard of called "California Casualty". Its for full coverage, with a $500 deductible, and I'm paying double, triple, quadruple what some of you are paying. I'm 22 years old, clean record, no points, and live in NJ. I even have the Z listed as a weekend car that gets low miles put on it (which really is the case). Geico was the highest, Prudential, Allstate, Progressive, Esurance, Nationwide, General, 21st, Safe Auto, etc. Those are just to name a few, all were unimaginably high. Only price I didn't get was from State Farm....they wouldn't even insure it.

There's your problem. New Jersey is one of the highest states to insure in.

i am insured by USAA, a military bank, i think they only offer their services to military personnel... not sure. with full coverage benefits and options such as storing your vehicle(s) when you get deployment orders are some of the great services that this bank offers. USAA is the bomb!

i believe i pay about 1200 a year on parents insurance but my 21 year old sister is listed as a driver and she had a major accident on her record. mine is pretty clean and i am 25. maybe a speeding ticket or two but took court supervision on both. maybe since i turned 25 my insurance will go down when i have to renew it but who knows. the problem is that my deductible is 1000bucks!!! it sucks but looking at that list i might be wanting a corvette sooner than later

sad story, sorry to hear that. i just think that the "line" insurance companies have is pretty lame, especially they way they place vehicles in their categories; ie: sports car, suv, etc. i guess being 18 doesn't help either. keep humping through the younger days and one day you will pay a reasonable rate.

I'm 25 and i would pay 1400 for the year but I also store it 6 months out of the year so between having regular insurance and storage insurance it only costs me 800 a year.. That's with basically a clean record havnt had a speeding ticket since I was 16 that I ended up getting in the middle of nowhere
