I feel you, My last Z was barely modded, and i used to drive it to school, and everyday out of 1000+ cars in the parking lot, mine would have **** on it, either written on the window's or just stuff laying on it. It gets annoying sometimes, but I love my Z's.

Sometimes its just jealous ppl out there.

 

Yeah...just found that out too. The only downside to modding the car...I'm glad I got tints, but when you drive by a group of only dudes...it's weird. A group of chicks is fine! :P

 

Yep, right there with ya buddy. I have old ladies walking around the car. I can't go to a gas station without someone saying "wow cool snake-skin paint job"......omg people its called carbon fiber! lol. You get used to it though

You guys are lucky... here in hickville MO, I get the old "Buy American, you ***!" all the time. Whatever.

 

i get alot of looks on my car... mainly cos no one knows what it is lol

i've had my tire slashed and front fender keyed before... it sucks but its not gonna stop me doing stuff to my car

 

1. Both front fenders scratched.
2. Spit *****
3. Guy down stairs bumpin my mirrors back as he walked by.
4. Two little ***s in a Echo drive by and throw something and it bounced off my hood.
5. Guys that installed clear bra used a razor blade on the paint.
6. Kid walks across the middle of the lawn so his dog can reach the car to **** on it.
7. Ppl at work started treating me differently making all kinds of assumptions about me because I'm young and they think the car was $50k.. But I paid $28k. Sometimes negative.

 

I have yet to have any problems with people messing with my car, minus the one time it was egged on Halloween (little brats singled it out, it was the only car on the street that got egged, lol).

I don't mind the attention at all, the Z is a great looking car. I live in a relatively lower middle class area in northern NY with long harsh winters, so you don't see too many sports cars rolling around. Minus the army post, people don't really have 30+ grand to drop on a car that is worthless in the snow, so a Z is pretty rare, people like to look at it and I don't mind at all. I have noticed that more guys want to comment or ask about it than chicks do, but I am married so I guess it doesn't matter.

 

That would be a helluva deal!

Where at in Ontario? I love across the St. Lawrence river, closest city is Kingston I think.

 

My car is modded. I get nothing but positive attention from women, men, and old people. Probably bc I don't drive like a punk and I only put quality parts on my car. I hate seeing butchered or rides out Z's!

Speaking of attention, I had a middle aged lady come up to me in front of the grocery store as I was walking to my car. She's checking out my car when I get there and asks "Hey, how do you like that car?". I say "It's pretty fun to drive". She stares at the stock dual exhaust and says "Oh, I see you have the twin turbo there on the back"... I try really hard to keep from laughing and say "No no, that's actually 4 turbo's, 2 on each side" and then get in my car and pull out. lololol

 

I was driving thru a parking lot and stopped to let a dude and his chick cross and they progressively turned and stared at my car as they crossed in front of me. Dude yells out "love your car". I park and when I leave the store they are standing by my car looking at it. Kinda awkward to say the least.

Girl at the Mickie D's dive thru window says to me yesterday "That's one of the new ones isn't it?" I said no it's an 04. She just looked in awe.

So....on one hand I like it on the other it is awkward.

 

yea people often make these weird assumptions that are way off lmaooo snake skin^^^(never heard that) or the same old is it an 8 cylinder how fast does it go do you drift...ahh yes and the girls that break necks gotta love it

 

It's called envy, dude. Some human beings are so insecure that they detest those who are doing better than them. They either haven't worked on a good education and/or a good job, so they're always looking for ways to damage, destroy, take away and squabble, about their neighbors' goods. Ain't life a female dog for THEM?! But they CAN make life miserable for us!

 

hahah. ive never really had a problem with people throwing stuff at my z or anything. but everytime i start thinking about selling it. i get like a million compliments on it and my mind changes back.
