life is negative. if it was positive then you wouldn't have been hit by a guy driving around drunk. be thankful he didn't hit you hard enough to throw your car into someone at the scene and kill them. i hate drinkers.

How about hating people who drink and drive. I know it's tough to grasp, but some people can drink and not cause problems for other people. Why clump everyone into one group?

OP - sucks man, glad to hear your car is gonna get fixed up though.

Drunk people are annoying, if you're sober. For someone who doesn't drink, I can't blame them for not liking drinkers.

At least the damage doesn't look that bad. Hopefully you can squeeze some sort of settlement out of the insurance company.

I think it also depends on what someone calls a "drinker". I'm a non-drinker now but i can still have a single beer or single glass of wine with dinner. Having a glass of wine with dinner maybe once a week or every other week i think calls me a non-drinker.

I lump drinkers together because i stay sober all the time. You would not believe some of the stupid **** people say and do even after a couple drinks. They could be just buzzed and they annoy the holy hell out of me. I just don't have a tolerance for it at all.

ok the comments about not getting anything is far from the truth, a good insurance company will pay u then go after them to get their money back in a situation where the person has say no insurance or some sort of thing like that..i was hit on the 4th of july last year in a different car of mine and totalled it, the lady ran a red light and was at fault, she had no insurance and geico did this and paid me off and i had the z first week of august and they gave me a rental until i got my check to get a new car..maybe u people are going with mom and pop insurance companies idk...

I hate drunk drivers sucks that he already had one DWI already. He didn't learn his lesson the first time around. Good luck with everything!

I don't think you did anything wrong not just flying by the trooper and thinking about someone else before yourself.

People should show a little sympathy and give you a break for sharing. Not like you hit the drunk driver or hit the trooper doing his job.

good luck, man. Not cool that you had injuries... look on the bright side, you're going to be paid for the damages AND you might've stopped that fool from killing someone.

Could've hit a less safe vehicle than your Z.

So here's what happened...Spoke with the insurance company and mine said they will cover everything with no deductible so pretty much fix my car for free and get it back to normal, and they're going after the other driver for everything...He was DWI, has had 5 M/V incidents in the past year, no registration under someone else's name, no insurance, and suspended license..he's still in jail lol So i'm kind of laughing about that...getting an appraisal tmr from my bodyshop for the damages and my ins is covering it 100%..

Well sober people do plenty of stupid crap too. Just glancing at your avatar, I assume you like motorcycles. Shall we list all the dumb crap people do on bikes that either hurts themselves or someone else? Plus the exhausts on just about any bike is annoying to me. I guess it's all subjective, however I just don't think it's right to lump everyone who drinks together. Just like any other group of people in life, there will be idiots.

Honestly, I get your point. I too hate those drunk people who feel the need to be loud all the time, the ones that always get up in your face when they talk to you as if you can't hear them or something or the "angry drunks" who get a few drinks in them and feel the need to start trouble and ruin a generally good time. Drunk drivers are the worst, right up there with people who use cell phones/text, put on makeup, read or do anything else that is distracting them from watching the road.
