Default People still checkin out the Z....

I still get a kick when random people walk up to my car just to check it out. I was enjoying some coffee outside and just watching this dude walking circles around my car, peering in all the windows, kneeling down to check the exhaust. He then proceded to get in his 5 series BMW. I don't mind, as long as they're respectful and don't touch it. I'm just glad the car still gets all this attention. Not the best story, I'm sure you guys got some better ones.

Hunh... It's the third time it's happened to me. I do park away from most cars though, so it's usually out in the open and easy to spot. (This is to avoid dings, not to show off).

I had four older people surrounding my car yesterday at Target. They were looking in it, kind of smeared up my window, but they were old and I am too tenderhearted when it comes to elderly to yell

I've gotten a few people ask me "what kind of car is that?"....."thats a nice car" etc....I don't think I've ever got a negative response when it comes to the Z. People who have owned or still own earlier model Z's really seem to love this car....I think that with some people the Z sparks up feelings of nostalgia towards their Z. I love driving this car.

Until one of them drops his cane and it smacks the Z leaving a nice dent...

I have a yellow, white and black 1977 Pontiac Bonneville in about perfect condition and this gets the comments fro the older folks.

But the 350Z gets tons of positive comments from those about 20-30 years old. Perhaps it is because I live north of Milwaukee, Wi. and there still are not any Z's, but this car attracts plenty of attention.

2Fishy, what color is your Z? I'm from Muskego when I'm not here at school in La Crosse. I'm betting that you're a Redline or CS...?

I get it all the time. Actually too much. People like to come up and make conversation about the car. That is great, but totally sucks when you are in a hurry. Best one I had is an older guy from Denmark who used to work at the TN Nissan Factory. This guy was completely fascinated with the lights. He spent 5 minutes talking about the lights with his Denmark/TN accent. Crazy!

My favorite though.... The two 18 year old twin girls that live next door...."That is the hottest car I have ever seen!" That was the first day I brought it home. I was at peace then.

Did you invite them for a "ride"?

That brings up an interesting question. How does one get two twins to go for a "ride" in one Z. Let me think about that. Hmmmm?

I do remember driving it for the first time with my girlfriend in the car. A couple of 17-18 year olds passed the Z in their Explorer and screamed out the window "I love your Car!!". I was promptly smacked in the arm by the girlfriend and she said " I told you girls would be wanting you and this car!" Ahhh.. God Bless the Z.

When I drive my Ferrari places, I get a lot of looks, but no one will "approach" the car, and no one asks me questions at all. When I drive the Z, people are always asking me questions, asking to look inside, check out the engine.......I enjoy it. I'm happy to accomodate most people.......part of it is I'm sure, people know exactly what the Ferrari is and they kind of stay at a "safe" distance, with the Z, it's just a lot more "user friendly".......interestingly, most girls like the Z a lot more........guys like the F car more........but I'm not into that!
