Z Inventories Low!
Bought my '04 350Z about 2 weeks ago and had to drive about 100 miles to find the one that I wanted. Just checked today and out of the 24 dealers within 100 miles of me, ther are 21 Zs. By contrast there are 201 '03 Muranos in stock. I am close to Cincinnati. Just wondering if this is typical of the rest of the country?
Same excact situation here. I live not very far from you (Columbus Ohio). I got my Z last weekend. There are about 25 dealerships within 100 miles of my condo.
I did the same as you. I got on nissanusa.com and did an inventory search for the car I wanted. Out of the 25 dealerships there were only 15 or so Z's. Knowing that the website may not be up-to-date I called the dealerships. Nothing. My car had to be flat bedded in from a dealership in KY.

huh, I beg to differ.
Z price has gone down considerable since its introduction. I recently bought mine in Chicago and paid $2000 below the sticker price....(yeah, they robbed me on fender guards and spoiler), but it's definetly better than $2000 OVER sticker.
Of course inventories are low, it's almost winter! Yeah, let's get a rear-wheel drive sports car for the winter, Honey!
I find a lot of the supposingly HOT cars are hyped up by "words on the street", and dealers.
Have you been reading some of the threads on what people paid for their Z? Seems like 1000 below MSRP is the norm.
Do your own research locally. Afterall, 350Z is NOT an exotic car!
Some example of hyped up vehicles:
---Harleys, V-Rod or Harleys in general. NO, there are no waiting list on them. However, there might be a waiting list to it fixed, hehe.
---Ford Thunderbirds.....they were cool for about a week, and I am pretty sure those guys overpaid those cars feel like retards now.

I live around the Cincinnati area also, and when I purchased my Z in July, I had to drive and hour or two to Lexington, KY to get my Daytona Blue base (it was the only Daytona blue in the 100 mi. area at the time)!
