Default 370z or BMW 328i Coupe

I'm the proud owner of the 03' 350z which now has 82,000 mi. I have to say this has been a great car, fun to drive looks amazing. It's starting to have problems as all cars do with age. I just replaced window motor and engine was runing rough and needed a new coil which cost $927 ouch!

I am looking to get another car in the next 6 months and would like to change it up and get something different than another 350z.

I have my eye on either a used BMW 328i Coupe pre certified for 6/yrs 07 or 08 which I can get for around $30k with 15- 20 k mi. I like the idea of a back seat so I can take the kids to school or whatever and not have to mess with the SUV. Although I'm not a BMW yuppie and I pure sports car enthusiast. Been going to the 12 hours of Sebring for 15 years and remember when the 300z factory team dominated the GT class for years blowing away Corvette, Porsche and Ferrari.
I'm not sure I can afford to maintain a BMW but I really like this car, amazing body, great handling but a tad slower at 0-60 in 6.2.

My 2nd choice is the the 370z but I'm not crazy about the looks but they are growing on me. There is nothing else on the market I like in the low 30k range.

WTF, this sports car market sucks in this 30k range, to bad toyota and honda have nothing to offer.

Let me know what ya think.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure you can pick up a pre-owned 335i for around 30k. This way you get the looks and that kick you are looking for.
Good luck.

You came on a 350z forum asking this question. What do you think the majority of the responses are gonna be?

^^ Without a doubt. And keep in mind, if the BMW is under warranty, all maintenance is included. All you pay for is tires and gas. And the car you have in the picture is a 335, not 328. There is a HUGE difference between the 328 and 335. I'd say get a used 335 under warranty.

The 335 is a bit more $ than I can spend, want low mi and they still hold in the 35 k range plus a few grand for the full maint 2 year extention. Also the 07 335 has mech. issues with the turgo engine, I may just end up with the 370z. It just looks too ricey maybe aftermarket front bumper and call it a day.

G35 and G37 kinda bland, 328 much better looking but slower too.
May stick with the poor mans Porsche and get another z.
Bet the new ones are a blast to drive.

370 for sure.. i would go with the nismo bumper and maybe some silver lmgt4 wheels. that would look more clean and probably more of the look you're going for.

Why would you consider a 328i and a 370, 328i is of no performance at all. Having owned one, all it is a dd and nothing more. If your range is around 30g's and like sportscars or performance cars, honda and toyota definitely have something, i.e. s2000 or supra. But if it came down to 328i vs 370, 370 all the way even over 335 imo.
