370z or BMW 328i Coupe
you said your looking for a car in the next 6 months,
usually when the new year starts most older cars drop value,
so I would say get a 335 it should be around the 26-32k area
i would still pick the 370 over the 335 but if you want to take the kids...... yeah

yea the price tag is a bit high on those but used u can find in the 40k possibly in the mid to high 35k-up i mean you gotta look but they out there cuz the economy is hurting right now but as for the m6 good luck lol
i own both a 06' 350 and 08' 328 coupe and trust me you will like the handling of the 328 coupe but hate its acceleration after driving a 350z. it is noticeably lagging in power. bought the 328 first, and had i bought the 350z first, then i wouldn't even bother with the 328.
with the 335 you get legendary bmw handling and a two turbos, or grab a 135i. its look is growing on me.
bmw has i believe looked after the 335i turbo issues after 2008 (just make sure they have the newest oil cooler update). also, please note with a 335i you automatically get as standard certain features that come as options on the 328.
or...
if you can deal with having a slightly older car (possibly cheaper).....2006 e46 m3...

I was in the market for a true performance car and was searching HARD for a 2004 M3. Ended up with my GT 350Z Roadster and have no regrets.
When my engine comes to the point for a new car I would definitely consider a 370z.
I would now much rather invest in a rebuild of my engine, when the time comes, and modify the hell out of it. Twin Turbos and Coil overs. All performance parts.
Keep your car and Beef it Up........ Better than all of the choices that everyone mentioned. Go to youtube and look up "350ZTT vs Lambo..."
My 2 cents...

The 335I is about matched in all areas as an E46 M3 and $1 for $1 you can mod the 335I a lot cheaper and make it a lot faster, especially in a straight line.
Owning both a 08 335I (E90 Sedan) and a NISMO 350z, I would say that comfort and speed both go to the 335I where as a true sports car feel go to the Z. I run faster 1/4mile times in the Bimmer and the Bimmer climbs all the way to 150 mph with little effort, where the Z seems to struggle to get up to high speeds. You should be able to find a 335I for around 30K, but be aware that the services once the warranty is up are expensive in the Bimmer! I didn't realize that for my last service that the warranty was up and the service alone was over $400! Hope this helps! GL
I personally am not too crazy about the styling of the 370, but it is superior to the 350 in stock form. If your spending too much time convincing yourself to like the 370, then I wouldn't go with it. I am too picky about what goes on my ride to the point where if I don't like it at first glance, it's coming off. You will regret it in the longrun if your on the fence with making this decision. What's wrong with buying a good used 350 with low miles and in prestine condition?
I recently bought me a BMW 530i and I can tell you that the car feels like your driving in a space ship. It rides great and is far superior to anything that I have daily driven (other than my Z33 of course...
) If you have never owned a BMW, the best advice that I can give you is make sure you have plenty of money put aside for the upkeeping. If you can find a Bimmer for a great deal that still has the factory warranty, then snag it. If not, be prepared. Anything that is not covered by warranty is going to cost you a pretty penny. For example, an oil change will run you a little under $200.00, performed by a certified BMW mechanic, because you cant just take it to Joe Shmoes garage around the corner (and that is very simple maintenance). Not to mention, newer Bimmers are ran by iDrive and are fully electronic, so it is going to cost you $$$ to even remove codes if they kick in the system. A large majority of people out there can buy a BMW, but can they afford to keep it? That is the question... Not trying to sway you either way or talk you out of buying either car, just something to think about... Hope all goes well in your seeking.
