Default '04 350Z question

Hey guys,

I'm new here... as you can tell by my incredibly high post count!

I have a question about my Z. Now, don't flame me too bad, but I bought my Z back in '05 and have just been happy to have it. When I bought it, I just saw it and loved the color (blue btw). I wasn't concerned with which trim it was; it had plenty of options for my taste. So I haven't done anything at all to it modification wise and know very little about it (spec wise).... it does drive great tho =P

I recently asked the dealer to run my VIN number to tell me which trim my Z is. He tells me it's a base model. I said okay no biggie, so I have a base model, it is a fun sporty car. Well it was time to sell it so I listed it on Autotrader.com, Craigslist and threw some for sale signs in it. I decided to do a little research because I heard that leather didn't come in base models and so on, so I dig further. Judging by what I'm reading I have a touring w/o navigation.

My question is, do I really have a Base model or do I have something else?

Here are the options mine has that apparently details which trim of Z that I should have according to a search in the "top 100 questions" on this site... I really don't know.

It has:

* heated power leather seats
* VDC (Can be turned on or off) (It has traction control which can be turned on or off - Not sure if this is the same thing or different)
* cruise control
* 18" factory rims
* auto dimming rear view mirror
* rear spoiler
* Bose premium sound (6disk cd player/cassette plater/XM ready)
* Aluminum pedals (I didn't know there were other types?)

I will PM the VIN to someone if needed to help me out but if the VIN says that it's a base model then why does my Z have all of the options of a touring?

Thanks in advance guys.

-Terry

This is a touring for sure. It is exactly the same as mine and it is a touring. You will be able to get a lot more money out of the touring over the base. It was the highest trim package at the time so make sure you realize that.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the help!

One last question.

Now that I know that the base model doesn't come with the options that my Z has, and determining that it is a touring, how can I look up my VIN or verify that it is listed as a touring, not a base model for a potential buyer who may only trust what the VIN says over the actual options?

Thanks again

-Terry

The Enth model did not come with Bose or VDC.
VDC was only on the 6 speeds ...Touring, Performance and Track in 2004.
Bose OEM was Touring only.

Thanks guys.

When I pull up the car with the VIN number, it says Coupe. I ordered a carfax, just so I'd know what was on it (I had never seen a carfax report before btw) and it also just says Coupe.

I dunno, I am suppose to be meeting a guy tomorrow and showing him the car, so if he asks, I'll just tell him that It is touring and give him as much info as I can. Hopefully he buys it, then we can all be happy!

Its Defiantely a touring its the only trim I would buy on the Z models. I think touring models also came with Xenon Headlights and the base came with Halogen
