Saw this Z crashing Pic off somewhere. Heard its due to a tire blowout at 100MPH.

Holy %#%@!! That looks pretty bad....Hope the driver was ok.

 

Looks like a well-prepared road racing or open road racing 350Z. Let's hope that serious looking roll cage did its job and that the driver was wearing a HANS device under his harness and walked away...

 

This was the Silver State run in Nevada and the owner/driver was running in the open (200mph) class and was around 200mph when he heard a loud noise. He assumed (correctly) that it was a tire and all he could do was lift and hold on. At approx. 150mph the tire separated and he lost it. It rolled 7 times and he walked away! Sez he will be back next year to top the 200mph mark! Regards, Jim

 

yeah that was like a month ago wasnt it, hes the editor of option magazine or something, they were planning on setting the top speed record in that race.
