Is the 350z 6 speed hard to drive
Just take your time and practice. Go to a large parking lot and practice starting by slowly letting the clutch out to the friction point and giving it small amounts of gas. It is really easy and you will get the hang of it pretty quickly. Practice makes perfect when driving a manual. I've been driving manuals for about 50 years so I find it very easy to drive a Z.
I watched youtube videos before I picked up my Z. First time driving a mt drove it off the lot just fine. You'll be ok; just practice. I've never driven any other manual car so in terms of how stiff the clutch is compared to others I don't know what to tell you.
Not hard at all, just takes lots of patience. Once you figure out how to work the gas and the clutch accordingly to change gears, your golden. After that, knowing your car is key... What I mean by that is, the speed variation and how it pertains to your cars gears, like knowing what gear to be in while taking a turn to consistently maintain speed (usually always 2nd), but may be higher if your going faster obviously. Another trick is knowing how to maneuver and work your gears while stopped on a steep incline (the last thing you want is kill the engine by popping the clutch too quickly and possibly roll into a vehicle behind you). Before you get antsy to take off the traction control, make sure you get tons of practice and get REALLY familiar with the car and it's handling. Driving with the TCS off can throw even the more experienced drivers in for a loop when in a sticky situation. Good luck.

Enjoy the Z and drive carefully.
The Z was my first manual... its not that bad, just take your time. The clutch takes a little getting used to, id describe it as catchy. There is a fine line between having it in gear and neutral. Good luck
Ive driven quite a few different manual cars, and the Z isnt any harder to drive, but its a little pickier. When shifting, its picky with the amount of gas you provide to match the RPMs. The clutch is no problem, nor is the actual shifter itself, its just a little sensitive to RPM matching and things like that. Youll catch on. I agree with the others, practice on something else before you jump right into an expensive Z.
At first, it was hard for me since the Z was my first manual car. I practiced a lot with my dad, and he helped me get a feel of the car. In my opinion, the clutch engagement point is higher, and the RPM's drop pretty quickly, so you need to give it gas to balance it out. If you keep practicing, you'll eventually get a good feel of the Z, and in time, you'll be decent.

I have owned about a dozen manual cars and to me, the 350Z is no harder to drive than any of the others. The challenge isn't the mechanics of the 6MT itself, but the amount of power the car has. A car with 300HP will magnify any errors you make in the gas/clutch exchange. It will jerk a lot more than say a manual Sentra.
Like others said, be patient and practice in secluded areas. You will be just fine.
