350Z or EVO 8
As far as I know, driving in the snow is not something Northwesterners deal with on a regular basis and our opinions seem to be that it is scary, deadly stuff that should only be touched with all wheel drive and chains - when there is only an inch on the ground.
In other words, OP, don't let an inflated sense of fear get in your way.

btw, what car do you drive? I'll keep my eye out for you.
Subaru, Audi, Volvo w AWD, EVO....anything with all wheel drive...I currently own an Audi Avant and its a blast in the snow....I can only imagine what an STI with adjustable diff. would be in the snow...
Thanx for the info so far guys. I do have G35X-S( lease an Wife drives it) An with me working 3 jobs, Getting around in one car is tuff. I hear a lot of good points, One being EVO=POS, Some what true it will be hard to find one that someone actulaly took car of and did not beat the crap out of, But the 04 Z I had had oil consumpion issues and the engine was replaced under warrenty,My only far about getting the Z minus is the same issue with NO warrenty..
That's the ultimate question....not 'is it driveable', but 'do you want to winter your sports car'. I had to think long and hard about it....but eventually I decided to winter it because....its just a 20k car at the end of the day, not a high dollar exotic. Besides with oilspraying, there's no ill effects from the salt. That I know of, anyway. And none that would manifest within a few years...because the Z will be sold in a few. ...
Yea wintering it is not an issue for me as I wash the G once a week when it snows and there is salt an ice. I always wash the under the car, rims and rotors, Salt never builds up on my car.. LOL .An I have driven a RWD car in the snow but that was a 650HP monster and was not fun, LOL Driving side ways all the time can be tricky.

Evo is far from being POS. Coming from a 600whp evo, it's a damn reliable car. Much cheaper to mod, and if you decide to drive it in the winter - you chose the right car
the more you look around the site, the more you realize Z owners think they're driving Ferraris. i wouldn't worry about it in the snow as long as you drive carefully, put tcs on and absolutely no racing
maybe the places where you guys live its not a bad idea, but where i live it can go from -40 to +5 Celsius in a few days in the winter. there is no way in hell i am running my car in those conditions. by rights you cant even run the same lubricants from one day to the next....its just not a good idea to drive it in the winter here haha.
i live in pittsburgh pa so we get pretty good snow and lots of hills my Z goes better then my old civic and moms hyundai which i tried using instead of the Z for the winter. plus its fun in the Z
