Unhappy Heartbreak

Soo this month is the second missed payment on my 350z...
i wont be able to make the payment next month either and im going to be handing the keys over tearfully.

If you care to read heres the story...
In 2006 I was working two jobs. In the day i was plumber in training and afternoon/evening i was a barber. Both jobs were bringing in significant income and i was 18 years old... invincible. Parents bought a new home and then divorced soon after. Mom was not only lonley in a big house but also running into tough times financially. She asked me if i would just stay with her for a while to help her on her feet, i was really in no hurry to move out anyway. Pops was fighting alchoholism and chasing ****** and ended up pretty much homless during this period. Cosidering i was 18 its not like the divorce was causing mental anxiety but it was still stressful times.

THEN CAME THE Z. I found a slicktop 91 300zx sometime mid 2006 for 5k and over 6 months put 7k into into keeping it on the road. I loved every second in that car, until it was broken into. My brand new deck and speakers were stolen. I drove the car soundless for a few months and then the clutch went and i had enough of spending money on a 15 year old car.
In july of 2007 I walked into Peoria Nissan and sold my soul..
I bought a 2004 base model with 40,000 miles for $28,000... Yea i know... brilliant. short time later the economy went to garbage and i lost both jobs....
Jump to now... ive now had a decent job for 2 years making around 2 thirds of the money i was making then and im barly surving. I got married in sept and im trying to adopt my wifes daughter (from her previous husband) Our combined income just isnt cutting it. I thought about putting the 4 year old to work but thats illegal... familey COMES first so... guess what GOES first...

so this last weekend i bought a new car... well... sorta...

I BOUGHT A BUICK THATS WHERE THE REAL POWER IS!
j/k

Ive learned a so much from all of you guys and I hope to buy another z in the future. I will still be on here lurking until i find a new z. Wont be often or soon. I hate even seeing zs on the road anymore.

If anyone has any advise about turning the car over to the bank id appreciate it. Kinda new to this...

But yeah, hopefully something works out for you bro, I hate hearing about people losing their cars, especially a car like a Z, I'd be ****ing torn up.

Yea but in the end id be back at square one. Also the buick was halph purchased on a credit card so i need to pay that now to. We just enrolled our daughter in special needs schooling and shes doing alot of tuitoring, so she wont end up halph illiterate like me. Alot of money is going toward her right now. We have a fear that she might be partially autistic due to her MRI shots and the docs wont admit it. So i have to pay for seperate shots in reguards nad thats expensive and hard to come by. Im calling the bank tomarrow hoping for a miracle cure but i dont see it happening.

I am really sorry to hear about your situation. Atleast you are mature enough to call it quits with your toy. Maybe in a few years you will own a 370Z or another 350Z. you can part the mods off the car to make some money back.

OP, you are the perfect example of why no one, let alone a young person, should be taking out a loan on a car. I hope you learn from this, and the next time you buy a car it is with cash.

Ask yourself if you need comprehensive insurance on that Buick. Once you can afford to replace the car if you total it, you don't need comprehensive anymore. One of the advantages of a cheap car is that you only need to carry liability which is pretty inexpensive.

Good luck with the marriage, the adoption (props to you), and your finances.
