Well that explains the sounds ive had since the projetc mu pads install. That sucks though because considering its my daily driver the ackwardness of squeaking around town doesnt outweigh the braking help.

Question if i were to upgrade to the stoptech bbk all around does this basically guarantee squeaks for life or can i still find a perf pad that doesnt make a chalkboard sound?

+1 the stoptechs on my 03 squeak & they're 2 months old. haven't heard anything on my 06 yet, but then again, i'm still breaking it in.

Honestly?? To a certain degree, more than likely. I say that because, although Im not currently up to date on what pads are available for that kit...I would assume that all of them will be light track/ track only use. Reason being, whats the point of bigger rotors and calipers and softer pad compunds?? If you dont track the car, definately save your money. The stopping distance from say 60-0 or even 80-0 isnt THAT much different over stock. The real gains are seen in extremely high heat situations when you are slamming on the brakes from 120-50mph ten times in a row. Which project MU pads did you get?? B-force? NS?

Cool so maybe i should just go with some stock brembos that are for sale so i get some aesthetic qualities and better breaking than the enthusiast model? I believe they were the b-force ones. Appreicate the help by the way, i was only joking with you about the flipping out comment anyway

Actually I'm really glad you "flipped out" and said this because I definitely didn't think about that although it makes perfect sense. I have the same problem, especially when cold. Thanks man!
