Default Almost taken out by a women in a mini-van!

I came within inches of being broadsided by a woman in a minivan, talking on a cell phone after running a stop sign!! If it wasn't for the fact the Z is such a super car to drive, I was easily able to avoid her.. She forced me into the oncoming traffic!! I sped up, pulled a semi hand brake u-turn and stopped sideways across the road in front of her.. I walked up to her yelling that she almost killed me.. She had no idea what she had done!! I grabbed the cell phone from her hand and threw it as far as I could!! It's illegal to talk on a cell phone while driving in New York unless it's a hands free model.. She had ni idea she ran a stop sign.. I made her get out of the car and take a look at the sign.. I sdai she coukld have killed me and her and to boot, she had 2 young kids in the car!! All this happened about 1/2 mile from my house.. They always say accidents happen close to home..

Have a safe week.. and watch for the soccer moms in mini-vans talking on cell phones!

Wow! Good for you... man, taking the cell phone and chucking it must've really been an adrenaline thing, because I'm not averse to confrontation yet I'd find it hard to see myself doing the same (the taking and throwing phone)...

That made me laugh, actually.

You should carry a couple hand grenades in your Z, that way after you throw the phone you can blow up the van too!

Just kidding

Glad you showed her what was up. Cell phones are the devil.

Same here! That would have made a wicked "owned" picture/movie.

Well done! No harm to her, just her cell phone which was the source of her distraction to begin with. That and she just doesn't understand that traffic is not a situation to be really multitasking in to begin with!

Damn soccer moms and their minivans. Ugh. They're either talking on the phone or doing their friggin' makeup. It's because of them that women have such a bad rep behind the wheel.

Glad she did not hit you, but I hope she did not write down your tag #. If she reports to the police that you came up to her car and took her phone away from her and tossed it, they might issue a warrant for your arrest for road rage. You need to talk to a lawyer and get your story straight before the police showup at your house. Don't get me wrong I think personally that it is great that you threw her phone away, I just use to be a cop and I'm giving you a view from the other side. Maybe what you ment to say happened is when you got out of your car to tell her see almost hit you and ran a stop sign she threw the phone at you and missed and it went out into the bushes

Thanks for all the replies.. I'm not worried about this woman going to the police as the chief of police is a good friend.. As far as getting shot, I have a carry permit for a Walther PPKs You bet I'd return fire..

I'm just getting tired of the drivers we have now who don't give a s**t about other drivers.. They only care about themselves.. These are the people who end of killing someone and then walking away to do it again.. I see it in the papers everyday..

Steve that's cool, I would give him a heads up so he can handle things before they could get out of hand. This ladies husband might go crazy after he hears you lost it on his wife with his kids in the car. See, she is not going to tell him the side you related. JMHO

It's possible but what was her reaction when you did it? Was she apologetic or angry? If angry might be a good idea to take pit bulls advice.
