Thanks guys. It pissed me off at first, but now there is nothing I can do about it. Now when I spend all that time washing it, no matter how good it looks it will still have that big a@@ scratch on it. I am gonna take it to some shops in Atlanta, I dont know of many in Athens. I wish I could find the person that did this. They could of at least done the front bumper instead, hell it really needs to be painted. I guess some people just dont care. On top of that I cant get my computer to boot up the O/S software. That isnt a big deal either, but both together just sucks. If anyone sees somebody messing with any Z then beat the dog **** out of them.

That looks like it will buff out, you just need some rubbing compound. The professional stuff is expensive to buy on your own, but ask a detailing shop before you go painting it.

Caution: do not use gs-27; it strips the clearcoat right off the paint, and DOES NOT remove the "hairline" scratches. Matter of fact, it adds fine scratches to the scratches. I know from experience on my black 350. Maybe it's just the black paint which is why you can see the damage that this chit(gs-27) does. I ended up having to get the hood professionally buffed. Good luck, although with the width & depth of that scratch you'll definitely have to get that panel repainted.

Sorry man. Truly share your pain.

Have never understood the motivation behind vandalism, especially defacing something as beautiful as the 350Z. There are a lot of sick people out there.....walking around, and some of them don't even know they're sick.....scary.......

that is interesting that you said that. maybe it is the black paint, but a few years back, my friend took the turn too sharply in my parking garage and scraped nearly the whole passenger side rear quarter panel. surprisingly, there were no dents in the car. the scratches werent deep so i figured that it wouldnt hurt to try the gs-27. after i had finished, the car looked as if nothing had ever happened. we were shocked. her car was silver by the way. i dont care what anyone says, but after seeing that restoration, i believe in that stuff. however, i am a bit worried now that you said it removes the clear coat. now the crayon POS's that come in the pack for deeper scratches are totally useless.

just my experiences and opinion. not saying that i am right.
